Valentine's Day Mantel

Valentine's Day Mantel

Have you ever decorated your fireplace mantel for Valentine’s Day? If not, this is the year to give it a try! While I always love crafting for Valentine’s Day, this is my first time decking our mantel in all things pink and red. It brings a big heart-filled burst of love to our living room! From a rose petal wreath and candy bouquet to a pom-pom filled heart garland, this mantel is full of fun Valentine’s Day crafts for you to try!

I mixed together a lot of different elements on the mantel, from metal lanterns and soft heart pillows to create different textures while tying them all together with a similar color palette. To create more height in the arrangement, I placed this valentine burst decoration on top of a pink box and propped a framed print in front of it. I created the DIY frame by painting a basic wood picture frame and decorating it with adhesive heart-shaped jewels.  The DIY rose petal wreath (made from faux petals in three different colors!) is the focal point of my Valentine's Day display. I hung it from the large mirror above my mantel.  I used painter's tape to attach these pretty red metallic heart cutouts to the wall to make it look like the mantel is bursting with love!  Along the base of the mantel, I strung this sweet DIY heart garland which features clear heart ornaments filled with fluffy pom-poms!  I also couldn't resist making this candy bouquet out of pink and white Valentine's Day candy. This would make such a fun gift!  Even if you don't plan to decorate your entire mantel, I hope you give one of these crafts a try to bring some extra love to your home this Valentine's Day! Don't miss the step-by-step tutorials for the rose petal wreath, pom-pom heart garland, and candy bouquet!
