I’ve got a super fun and bright idea for taking your wedding cocktail hour to the next level! This DIY “Spiked” Italian Soda Bar is not only adorable and delicious, but it’s interactive; which will give your guests an icebreaker and something fun to do. The sign on the table has the recipe and instructions on how to make a “spiked soda” and each guest will be able to fully customize their drink using their choice of flavored syrups and alcohol. You’ll want to designate a waiter or friend to watch the ice, alcohol and soda levels to replenish when needed but the syrups should have no problem lasting throughout your event. Cheers to something sweet and darling!
It will be important to communicate to your guests HOW to make the drink... good thing my free printable sign and labels fit the gold table frames and plastic wine pitchers perfectly! Get them here along with the recipe!
I love, love, love these balloons! I used the Lemondate Party set and then took the limes from the Margarita set. They are so cute and bright and fun! I also mixed in a few small 5" balloons just for fun.
You have to stop by this post and see how easy it was to create the DIY Display Boxes for the bar, aren't they darling!?
You can find Torani drink syrups on Amazon and in most big box grocery stores. This was a set of 6 "tropical" flavors that I found on Amazon and I had to buy the pumps separately. Pump tip: the pumps displace quite a bit of syrup so you'll need to pour a bit out before you put the pump in, otherwise it will spill all over like it did to me. You might want to do that and turn the pumps on lock before your event so that all you have to do day-of is put them out.
I used the DIY Alphabet Letters to create the banner and the display box signs and I absolutely love how they turned out! Find the DIY tutorial for the banner here!
The white floral sheeting backdrop makes for an awesome tablecloth option. It's plastic, so clean-up will be super easy, just wrap it up and throw it out. Order these Best Day Ever personalized napkins as the PERFECT addition to the table, both cute and functional! Mix in some yellow napkins too!
Oh, these gold rim tumblers are simply fabulous! ...and if you're like me and can't do dairy, opt for providing a non-dairy whip topping too!
The choice of clear alcohol is up to you and I've provided labels for all the types I could think of, not just tequila and vodka.
I mixed the mango and coconut together and it was DELICIOUS! If I had white rum it would have been a perfectly fizzy piña colada!
Cheers lovelies! I can't wait to see your renditions of this fabulous soda bar idea! Please tag #orientaltrading with it on social media!
