It’s no secret that Halloween is one of my favorite holidays to decorate for! I just love how creative you can get with Halloween decorations. Each year I try to come up with unique Halloween pumpkin decorating ideas. Today I’m going to show you how to take a plain orange foam pumpkin and create three different themed Halloween Pumpkin Pedestals that could be used to decorate your home for Halloween or would be a perfect addition for your Halloween party tables! Whether you’re looking for vintage, spooky or sparkly Halloween decorations, I’ve got you covered! I was inspired by Oriental Trading’s Spider Pumpkin Push-Ins that are so versatile and have a pin already on them that make them easy to push into the foam Orange Pumpkin. Let’s get started!
Black Widow Pumpkin Pedestal
Step 1:
In a well-ventilated area (outside if possible) spray paint your Orange Pumpkin with bright red spray paint. Let fully dry.
Step 2:
Cut one of the legs of the pair of fishnet stockings and wrap it around the pumpkin. The foot of the stocking should be under the pumpkin. Then tie the open end at the top of the pumpkin and trim any excess.
Step 3:
Place one Red Jewel on the back of the Black Spider Push-Ins. Place one end of the Nylon Black Chain through the pin on the spider then push the spider into the top of the pumpkin.
Step 4:
Once the spider and chain are secured to the pumpkin, wrap the chain under the pumpkin and around to the opposite side and secure the other side of the chain to the pumpkin with another spider. Trim any excess chain. Continue this with the rest of the nylon chain and spiders until you have the chain in the pattern shown.
Tip: Secure the chain at different heights with the spiders so they won’t all be at the top and then use the glue gun to attach the loose chain to the pumpkin.
Step 5:
Add Red Jewels around the base of a black pillar candlestick and place the pumpkin on top. You’re done! Now it’s time to display it on your home’s Halloween decor or use it as a centerpiece for your Halloween party table!

Vintage Gold Spider Pumpkin Pedestal
Step 1:
In a well-ventilated area (outside if possible) spray paint your Orange Pumpkin and the Spider Pumpkin Push-Ins with gold spray paint. Let fully dry.
Tip: I used 6 spider push-ins for this, but you can use more if you want (12 of them come in a pack).
Step 2:
Attach one end of the White Lace Ribbon to the top of the pumpkin at the base of the stem with a glue gun. Wrap the ribbon under the pumpkin and secure the other end on the opposite side of the pumpkin with the glue gun. Trim the excess. Continue doing this to create six ribbon strips around the pumpkin.
Step 3:
Place one White Pearl on the back of each Black Spider Push-Ins. Attach to the pumpkin by pushing them into the foam pumpkin pin side down. Place them in any pattern you like.
Tip: Want to add a touch of sparkle to your vintage pumpkin? A few buttons from the Silver Pearl & Jewel Button Assortment would look amazing attached to the lace ribbon!
Step 4:
Add White Self-Adhesive Pearls around the base of a white pillar candlestick and place the pumpkin on top. You’re done! Now it’s time to display it on your home’s Halloween decor or use it as a centerpiece for your Halloween party table!

Silver Sparkle Spider Pumpkin Pedestal
Step 1:
In a well-ventilated area (outside if possible) spray paint your Orange Pumpkin and the Spider Pumpkin Push-Ins with silver spray paint. Let fully dry.
Step 2:
Using a glue gun, attach one of the Lolita Cameo Charms to the front center of the pumpkin. Then, embellish the entire pumpkin with both the Clear Round Adhesive Jewels and the larger Clear Shaped Adhesive Jewels in any pattern you want. Place one jewel to the back of each silver Spider Pumpkin Push-Ins then push them into different areas on the pumpkin.
Step 3:
Add Clear Round Adhesive Jewels around the base of a black pillar candlestick and place the pumpkin on top. You’re done! Now it’s time to display it on your home’s Halloween decor or use it as a centerpiece for your Halloween party table!
