Pre-K Graduation DIY Stole

Pre-K Graduation DIY Stole

When planning for our Pre-K Graduation, I knew that I wanted something that the students’ families would actually like to keep. Since the cap and gowns were out of the question, I thought their stoles would be a great idea. They were so simple to customize and I just know the parents are going to love them!

I used the Glitzy Glitter Fabric Paint Set to write their name and the year on the stole first. Then, I let them add all the jewels they wanted. We had to do these one at a time. While they were playing at centers (or not napping during nap time) I would pull them one by one to work on their stole.

After the kiddos had placed the stones and buttons where they needed to go, I used hot glue to glue them down. I was afraid the self-adhesive wouldn’t be strong enough to hold to the fabric but that didn’t end up being a problem.

These stoles turned out so cute! This little guy was so proud of his stole. He didn’t want to take it off after we took a picture in front of our Graduation Photo Backdrop. He also and wore it around our classroom even without his cap and gown! Knowing that the kids loved their stoles I can’t wait to see the parents’ reactions to them! I have a feeling they will be a real tear jerker come graduation day.

Make sure to check out our entire Pre-K Graduation Ceremony including a post on how to set up your own Snack Table and create a Graduation Photo Backdrop.
