Make Your Own Field Day Visors

Make Your Own Field Day Visors

Field Day is a day that students look forward to each spring. It is a great time to review how to work as a team and have good sportsmanship, which we all know can be extremely hard for students. I like to take the time each year to have students create visors to help us look and feel like a real team. I love the way my students walk around to each event with big smiles and how proud they are of “our team.” This very simple activity will make the day very memorable for each student in your class, and it makes a great end-of-the-year gift!

I start by writing my students' names on the visors using a Sharpie®. I love to use the black sharpie for the name and add accents with a gold and silver metallic fine point marker. I take the time to write the name in a fun, eye catching way. Students love this! Classroom Field Day Visors If writing student names on each visor sounds time-consuming or intimidating, have students use bright self-adhesive letters to spell out their names. Students can also add accents using a sharpie to make each letter unique. Just a few simple dots and stripes can make each letter stand out. Classroom Field Day Visors If you prefer not to have student names on visors, don't worry, they look adorable with just Foam Shapes. Oriental Trading has so many options to choose from. This would be a great time to add in patterns, geometric shapes, or symmetry. Classroom Field Day Visors What I love about the Bright Neon Visors Assortment is that each color is vibrant and ready to go. There is nothing to put together. The visors can easily be adjusted to fit each student. Classroom Field Day Visors I hope I've shared an idea that will help you make your own Field Day memorable!
