Show dad a little extra love this year for Father's Day with a homemade project that is easy to make and oh so cute! In addition, surprise him with a meaningful card and some gag jokes while spoiling him with a breakfast of champions. Everything is easy to do and will make a lasting impression on Dad's special day.
Her's a fantastic Father's Day craft you can make with your students or at home with your own children. The best part is that this project is easy to make and will surely be something dads everywhere will cherish.
Every Father's Day celebration needs a thoughtful card, and a homemade one is even more meaningful! We used these DIY Dad Accordion Cards to do just that! We added a little extra thinking power to this card by coming up with a bunch of adjectives that describe dad AND started with the letters 'd' and 'a'. We neatly wrote these onto the card with Crayola® Pip-Squeaks Fine Tip Markers.
While we had our 64-Color Crayola® Fine Tip Markers out, we decided to color our Father's Day gag gift; the Color Your Own Father's Day Whoopie Cushions.
Who doesn't love a whoopie cushion?! They turned out beautiful and I can already hear the many giggles these will bring.
Now for the cherry on top; the beloved Father's Day craft! This is the highlight of every Father's Day at our house. Dad always loves seeing what homemade gift we come up with. I always try and incorporate a picture in these gifts whenever possible, because they are beautiful keepsakes.
When I saw these adorable Classic Vans Bulletin Board Cutouts, I knew I needed to include them in this year's Father's Day craft. Our DIY craft consisted of the cutouts, a couple fun pictures of the kids, some 8 oz Mod Podge® Matte Acrylic Sealer and the always versatile DIY Canvases - 12" x 3/4" x 12".
If you haven't ever used Mod Podge® Matte Acrylic Sealer you're missing out! You simply paint on this glue-like sealer and it dries clear! It's a perfect adhesive to use when you're working with photos.
We tried to smooth it over as uniformly as possible, but luckiy it is very forgiving and easy to work with. It also dries very quickly! After the canvas dried, we added a little Father' Day message to it using Creativity Street® Wonderfoam® Alphabet Block Self-Adhesive Shapes.
The final touch was adding some finishing details with our Crayola® Pip-Squeaks Markers.
We added some beach doodles to the canvas and it gave the final piece way more character! Dad will definitely be feeling spoiled this year when he receives this gift!
Beyond the card and gifts, we also wanted to celebrate dad with a breakfast of champions set. We used a leftover roll of Kraft Paper as simple backdrop and spruced it up with a Navy Blue Hanging Paper Fan Assortment along with this Father's Day Best Dad Ever Garland.
We set the table up with some bagels, Father's Day Paper Dessert Plates, our card, DIY canvas gift and of course some Thumbs Up Award Trophies.
The final touch was adding in these Color Your Own Self-Inflating Father's Day 4" Mylar Balloons, because every party needs some balloons! Happy Father's Day to all the fathers and father figures out there!
