First, create a background by covering your bulletin board with a length of Light Blue Paper Roll. Line the sides of your bulletin board with flag borders from the Diversity Bulletin Board Set and cutout handprints.

Your students can help create the border, too! Have them trace and cut out their handprints from Multicultural Colors Construction Paper and add them to the border.

Next, fill each Mini Suitcase with a variety of fun things from around the world. We themed each trunk with items representing just one or two different countries. Use hot glue or glue dots to adhere items from around the world including, My Passport Sticker Books, Hats Around the World Assortment, Diversity Bulletin Board Set Cut Outs, Small Plastic Flags of All Nations, Greetings from Around the World Cut Outs, and Kids Around the World Mini Sticker Scenes. Use the stickers from the My Passport Sticker Books to decorate the outside of the suitcases.

Mount the Kids Around the World Mini Sticker Scenes onto white cardstock. Cut around the sticker scene, leaving a small border around the top and sides, and a larger border at the bottom. The larger border at the bottom creates a Polaroid-type look.

To prop up the pieces inside the box, cut a Small Foam Ball in half and then hot glue it to the inside of the suitcase. Push wood skewers into the Styrofoam ball and then glue the diversity items onto the skewers.

Hang the large globe and diversity word cutout (from the Diversity Bulletin Board Set) on the middle of your bulletin board. If you have extra hand cutouts, hang them around the globe. Add the Mini Suitcases by securing them to the board with tacks.

To complete the look, hang a Flags of All Nations Pennant Banner across the top of the bulletin board and fill in any empty spots with extra sticker scenes, My Passport Sticker Books and bulletin board cutouts.

You can make this bulletin board a learning opportunity by filling Large Around the World Totes with an assortment of books about different nations and nationalities. Hang the totes from hooks so kids can easily grab a book to read!
