Marilyn Monroe is an iconic movie star, glamorous and beautiful she was the definition of a living legend. One of my favorite Marilyn movies & songs was Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend. This pink and diamond filled song is the inspiration for this bling-tastic bridal shower.
There is no better theme for a bridal shower or bachelorette. What better focus than that dazzling engagement ring and your precious, priceless besties! True friendship is of course like a diamond, it's rare, beautiful and lasts forever.
Embrace the bling and modernize with a stylish palette of shades of pink, gold, and pops of yellow. These tones make a soft, romantic statement and add warmth to a gem filled look!
Add in a fun pinatá, watercolors and on-trend graphics by World Wide Party and you have a stunning, yet intimate, bridal shower.
Bling-tastic! Tables:
Set the scene for your romantic bridal shower by scattering Diamond Table Toppers, Gold Diamond Confetti and Hot Pink Diamond-Shaped Acrylic Gems down the center of the table on top of hot pink tulle.
In the middle of the table, as a centerpiece, I used L*O*V*E marquee lights. This DIY Watercolor Love Letter Centerpiece lit up the table perfectly. Find out how to add extra bling and watercolor inserts here.
To either side of the "L*O*V*E", I added darling Gold Base Bud Vases filled with pink carnations. Next, a Mini Diamond Cut Plastic Pedestal Dish filled with Pink Acrylic Ice and my Easy Gemstone Chocolate Cupcake Toppers.
Finally, don't forget the romantic lighting, Diamond Tea Light Holders with pink tea lights at the ends of the table.
Thoughtful Place Settings:
I wanted each place setting to include a sweet invitation to the bridesmaids. The I Couldn't Tie The Knot Without You bling-tastic earrings are the perfect way to ask your besties to be your bridesmaids.
I added a fun Scalloped Chloe Tiara to each setting. Diamonds are a girl's best friend after all!
So the bride is not left out of the fun, I added the Bride to Be Tiara and Bride to Be Fun Shades to this place setting. What better fun than getting glammed up with the girls!
The place setting itself was just as bling worthy and perfectly pink! I used diamond cut serving trays chargers, layered with Light Pink Round Paper Dinner Plates and Plastic Hot Pink Plastic Dessert Plates On top of each setting I added a small, gem jewelry dish with a sprinkling of diamonds.
Resting alongside each place setting I used Premium Metallic Gold Cutlery, on top of a personalized hot pink "Miss to Mrs.", Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend napkin and a gorgeous name card in a diamond.
To complete the set I used Clear Patterned Plastic Wine Glasses and a Patterned Champagne Flutes with a sweet Gold Foiled Striped Straw inside and a Gold Diamond Confetti attached to the straw.
A Modern Bar Cart:
I added a modern touch to this classic theme by using a glam gold & lucite bar cart as a dessert station. The bar cart is set against a unique, contemporary DIY Diamond Mosaic Backdrop.
I paired this backdrop with a fun Metallic Diamond Ring Pinatá and Gold Glitter Diamond Ring Garland on one side and balloons with hand-drawn gemstones on the other.
The bar cart itself has a fabulous Pink Feather Boa thrown across it as a nod to the fabulous Marilyn video.
On top of the cart, I displayed fluffy pink cupcakes with my DIY Gemstone Chocolate Cupcake Toppers on top of the acrylic Footed Cake Stand. The top of the cake stand detaches from its base. I placed this on top of a gold spray painted pizza base for a diamond geometric look.
Next to the cupcakes, I placed Diamond-Shaped Boxes filled with colorful candy inside a Diamond Cut Pedestal Dish.
Next to this, Champagne of course!! As well as the super glamorous, Gold Confetti Shaker, a "True Friendship" printable by World Wide Party and for a touch of humor, my "more champagne please" bell.
On the bottom of the bar cart, I filled the Gold Trim Open Top Terrarium with Pink Acrylic Ice and florals and placed it in the center. I added more fun napkins, non-alcoholic beverages and a Small Clear Bowl with Gold Texture Base filled with citrus garnishes to either side.
Your besties will be ready to drape themselves with diamonds and sing the classic song as they take their seats! Say yes to bling-tastic glam and every shade of dreamy pink!
