Cozy details are the anchor for this cottagecore themed Thanksgiving table. Style this scene to celebrate Friendsgiving or even a fall birthday! Incorporate elements like apples, pumpkins and fruits of the season, along with flowers, trailing vines, flower garlands, and some vintage table linens. We're sure guests will love receiving hand painted mushroom favors with dried flowers and moss that serve as a perfect welcome gift. Let me walk you through how to create this enchanting woodland scene in our own dining room!
The table was laid with an embroidered floral tablecloth over a neutral, light brown base cloth. A centerpiece was created by clustering an assortment of items; the largest being a white ceramic vase filled with sunflowers and faux red roses.
I stacked some vintage books alongside the vase and topped them with a small white pumpkin. Vintage looking amber glass bud vases and white ceramic vases were placed around the table and held sprigs of pampas grass and faux eucalyptus. Hand painted mini mushrooms were tucked in here and there to accent the design. White ceramic plates served as the base for disposable orange buffalo check dinner and dessert plates. These disposable plates made cleanup a snap!
These wood favor boxes were simple to create using faux daisies, wood hearts, mushrooms and miniature felt pumpkins. A thank you tag was glued into the arrangement along with greenery and pampas grass. Who wouldn't love to receive one of these pretty little favor boxes filled with a Thanksgiving surprise?
It was quick work to paint these wood cutout pumpkin shapes. I painted them in fall shades then added guests' names using black paint and a paintbrush. I glued a foam rose to each one then used the flexible stem to stand the wood piece up on the table.
A smoked tea and cider cocktail was just the right fit for this Thanksgiving filled with cottagecore details. I served the cocktail with fresh berries and edible flowers in a simple, clear wine glass.
Peek around at more details throughout the tablescape. Can you find all the painted mini mushrooms peeking out?
Painted ceramic owls embellished with faux sunflowers sat next to each plate and really added to the woodland vibe we were going for.
I dressed up my vintage hutch with a white rose garland and draped it across the top to tie this area of the room into our garden theme.
Orange buffalo check plates leaned against the back of the shelves and helped bring a touch of color to the hutch.
A white pumpkin, fall sign, a bushel basket with faux apples, and bottles with pampas grass and faux roses also helped to fill up shelf space. The makings for the smoked tea cocktail were also set out for guests to enjoy, along with plates of berries and sweets. Be sure to download the free printable toadstool cupcake toppers here!
I painted this darling wooden gnome cutout to match the party. Each cutout arrives unfinished and can be customized in just about any way you can imagine!
This cute fall wall collage is free to download! I placed the photos over a vintage tea cart that holds more goodies for the party.
Extra plates, tea, desserts and faux greenery was displayed on a vintage tea cart.
