The first step in transforming your classroom into a confetti-themed wonderland is to formulate a plan. I decided to transform my colleague's classroom after she fell in love with the confetti classroom theme! I wanted to create a fun, vibrant, and functional classroom for her students to enjoy.
Every confetti-themed classroom needs a bulletin board that is the focal point when you walk into the room! When I found this 3D Confetti Classroom Bulletin Board Border and Shiplap Fadeless Paper, I wanted to make an inspirational bulletin board, but with a colorful twist. I printed the words "amazing" and "here" on colored card stock, and I used the Lowercase Script Bulletin Board Letters to write "things happen". Lastly, I cut out confetti circles from the neon colored card stock. The birthday cupcake bulletin board compliments this confetti themed classroom with its bright and whimsical feel. I used the Fadeless® Chalkboard Bulletin Board Paper Roll as the background for my birthday bulletin board. To create this birthday bulletin board, simply download, print, and laminate the cupcake bulletin board pack. You can grab this free bulletin board printable pack here!
I used Black Scalloped Bulletin Board Borders and Schoolgirl Style Black & White Striped Bulletin Board Borders to section off the whiteboard in the front of the classroom. This gives the classroom a clean, organized feel. The Schoolgirl Style You're A Star Calendar Bulletin Board Set pairs perfectly with this confetti-themed classroom decor collection. I also added some Growth Mindset Posters to the front of the classroom. This is perfect for teaching students that mistakes are all part of the learning process and help them improve each and every day! The welcome banner is also a perfect addition to add to the front of any classroom. You can grab the free welcome banner printable here!
How adorable are these white confetti themed paper lanterns? They are definitely the focal point of the classroom when you walk into the room. These paper lanterns are so easy to create with precut Paint Chip Circles. Simply hot glue the precut paint chip circles to 12" White Hanging Paper Lanterns and 18" White Hanging Paper Lanterns. I used two 12" white hanging paper lanterns and one 18" white hanging paper lantern above each table to create clusters of paper lanterns.
I love how large this classroom is and how much wall space I was able to work with. This is something that is important to take into consideration while in the planning stages of a new classroom theme.
Something as simple as updating walls can totally transform your classroom into a spectacular space! One way to transform dull, boring walls in any classroom is by covering them with a Fadeless® Black & White Stripe Bulletin Board Paper. I outlined each section with Bold & Bright Swiss Dots Bulletin Board Borders. I also placed two Large DIY Unfinished Wood Frames with Wire within each section. To create these statement pieces, simply spray paint the outer edge of each wooden frame. Next, adhere a bow to the wood frames using Black & White Striped Satin Ribbon. Lastly, hot glue Confetti Positive Posters into some of the frames. I also added star accents from the Growth Mindset Door Decor Kit into some of the frames as well.
Classroom organization and storage is a must in any classroom. Teachers often lack a sufficient amount of storage or cupboard space to store classroom supplies and various teaching materials. These Bright Colorful Buckets are perfect for storing all your classroom supplies in a clean and organized way. These Large Black Confetti Storage Bins are another option for storing center materials, guided reading group supplies or books! If you have a door in your classroom that leads to a bathroom or storage closet, why not outline it with border? I outlined the door with White Double-Sided Solid & Polka Dot Bulletin Board Borders.
Create your own DIY table centerpieces for your classroom table with Black Candy Buckets, White Tulle Pom-Pom Decorations, Bamboo Skewers, and Chalkboard Bubble Centerpiece Stakes. I also adhered a colorful star cutout to each bamboo skewer using hot glue. Be sure to grab the free printable star cutouts here! If you are looking for an easy way to store your crayons and classroom supplies, check out these Paint Bucket Favor Containers. I used these buckets to store 16-Color Crayon Classpacks. I also used a Confetti Classroom Name Tag so I could label each bucket. Lastly, I added a Small Confetti Storage Bin to the center of each table to store notebooks, binders, or other classroom materials.
It's not only important to create a fun, warm and inviting classroom atmosphere, but it's also important to provide your students with all the necessary classroom supplies they'll need. These Classwork Pocket Folders are high quality and pair perfectly with this confetti classroom theme. I also provided each student with a Neon Spiral Notebook & Pen Set and a Personalized Pencil. Lastly, I labeled each student desk with a Confetti Classroom Desk Plate.
Keeping community supplies within reach is so important in my classroom. I always want to create a specific place for my students to go to whenever they need something. This community supplies area is perfectly organized with Large Black Confetti Storage Bins, Small Black Confetti Storage Bins, Confetti Book Storage Bins, and Black Paper Storage Bins. I also organized my Crayola® Markers in these Medium Galvanized Metal Pails. If you are looking for a way to organize your clipboards, I recommend using this Clipboard Storage piece. It's perfect for keeping all your clipboards in one easy place! Lastly, I added some Confetti Glitter Classroom Posters to the wall and a Confetti Classroom Jobs Mini Bulletin Board Set to keep student jobs organized.
Every teacher wants an organized space to fulfill their day-to-day responsibilities. I always like including various patterns into the classrooms I style. I decorated the bulletin board behind this desk with Fadeless® White Shiplap Bulletin Board Paper, and I outlined the bulletin boards with Schoolgirl Style Black & White Striped Bulletin Board Borders and Loop-de-Loop Bulletin Board Borders. I wanted to make the bulletin boards simple since every teacher needs space to hang important notes, reminders, or student work. I added a Bright Classroom Welcome Banner with Pom-Poms and a Black Letter Board Kit - 20". I also decorated the front of the desk with Fadeless® Black & White Stripe Bulletin Board Paper and outlined it with Bold & Bright Swiss Dots Bulletin Board Borders. Personalize your desk with Bright Classroom Bulletin Board Letters & Numbers and add flair with some Bright Tissue Hanging Fans. Lastly, I organized the bookshelf behind the desk with Chalkboard Brights Storage Boxes and Chalkboard Brights Small Storage Bins.
Score extra style points when you make this fun, DIY desk tray and floral arrangement. I spray painted a DIY Unfinished Wood Rustic Chevron Tray and a DIY Unfinished Wood Hello Sign. To create the flower arrangements, simply spray painted Quart Ball® Mason Jars in black and added a Black & White Striped Satin Ribbon. Each mason jar was filled with Faux Pink Peony Stems and Faux Floral Greenery. Lastly, important papers were organized in these Confetti Classroom File Folders.
Every teacher loves organization! I filled a DIY Flower Box Centerpiece with Medium Galvanized Metal Pails. This is the perfect solution for storing and organizing your colored pencils, markers, or crayons! Be sure to check out all the Crayola® products that you can use in your classroom to see how versatile they can be! I decorated the DIY flower box centerpiece with Neon Washi Tape and a Boho Pom-Pom Garland. I added a Black & White Striped Table Runner to give the classroom a warm and cozy feeling too.
