Bright cheery colors, crisp white, and shiny gold are what colorful wedding dreams are made of. This summer tablescape is a perfect example of how you can use simple vases and modern plates as the foundation for a fun reception design. Before we talk about the centerpiece, let's talk small details. These are the interesting things that guests will remember after your wedding. Each place setting is decorated with a few colorful funky heart tattoos for guests to apply once the dancing gets going.
I created a runner out of layered grossgrain ribbon. The ribbon pack comes with every color in the rainbow. Choose which ones go best with your wedding palette and lay them down the center of your long tables. This is an inexpensive way to add color to an all white table.
Metallic gold was the metal of choice that I used to style this colorful tablescape. Gold Scalloped Champagne flutes were at every place setting ready to be filled with prosecco. Gold Base Bud Vases are the perfect size to hold a few stems of flowers and fill in the gaps between the larger centerpieces.
Here's a fun DIY that is an easy way to make a table number: simply glue a number 4 candle to a Tall White Ceramic Vase. Ta-da! You've just created a table number that effortlessly fits into your table design.
The flowers used on this table are colorful without looking like a true rainbow. I used pink peonies, pink carnations, yellow daffodils, orange orchids, pink ranunculus, pink astible, purple anemone, yellow snapdragons, orange ranunculus, and pink hyacinth. A mix of the Tall White Ceramic Vase and the Wide White Ceramic Vase creates variety on the table.
Finally we come to the place setting. I started with the Gold Dot Dinner plate and then layered the Gold Dot Dessert Plate on top. A DIY Colorful Confetti Menu is placed on top of that. White cotton napkins and high end gold flatware elevate the look and make your tablescape ready for a celebatory dinner.
