Welcome the kids to the party with bright, cheerful colors and seasonal accents. A Cartoon Turkey Thankful Pennant Banner paired with a garland made of Craft Wool Felt Pom-Poms create a festive backdrop. Simply string the felt balls together with an embroidery needle and some Red Baker’s Twine to create the garland. Leaf-Shaped Cellophane Bags on the windows give a stained glass effect and add a pretty autumn glow to the space when the sun shines through!

Set the Table

Party 7

Pretty, seasonal flowers add instant charm to a celebration. Arrange several bouquets in Gold Mercury Mason Jars and Clear Cylinder Vases, then line them down the center of your table atop a strip of Kraft Paper Roll to create the anchor for a festive table runner. Scatter baby pumpkins, Mini Natural Pinecones and Magic Color Scratch Fall Leaves around the flowers to finish off the table centerpiece. Once seated, the kids can scratch their names into the color scratch leaves to be hung on their favor boxes later in the party.

The Place Settings

Party 8

Party 9

Bye, bye plain plates, hello, adorable little turkeys! For these fun place settings, we transformed simple Kraft Scalloped Paper Dinner Plates into the cutest little gobblers using our Turkey Place Setting Printables. Simply print the turkey head and feathers on white cardstock, then cut out and arrange underneath the scalloped plates. Fall Leaf Beverage Napkins and Lemon Yellow Plastic Forks add the perfect splash of seasonal spirit to each setting.

Party 10

We kept the Fall vibes going by hot gluing Pumpkin Pom-Poms to Gold Foil Straws, making festive drink stirrers. We tucked the stirrers inside Teal Lagoon Paper Cups that were jazzed up with our printable Fall Leaf Cup Labels. To finish off each place setting, we added a Happy Friendsgiving Cupcake Topper to pumpkin muffins and placed a muffin on top of each plate.

The Activity Table

This is where the imaginations come out to play and the fun happens! Set up a safe station where the kids can create by covering a table with Kraft Paper. Make it colorful and inviting by adding a playful paper chain made out of Full Color Spectrum Paper. Have additional paper on hand at the table for kids to create with. They can make their own paper chains, or they can cut out pieces to glue onto pinecones to create little turkeys to take home.

Use a marker to draw a space for each child to create on the kraft paper.  We traced bowls to make circles at each seat, then added the children’s names beneath the circles. Inside the circles we placed the cutest little crayon pots that we created for each kiddo to take home.

To make the turkey crayon pots, begin by removing the honeycomb tissue balls from Honeycomb Avocado Garland (there are six balls on each garland). Hot glue the balls onto Small Terra Cotta Pots, just under the rim of the pots. Print and cut out the Crayon Pot Turkey Printables, then glue to the pots. To finish off the turkeys, glue an Assortment of Feathers to the inside backs of the pots. Fill the pots with raffia and 8-Color Crayola® Crayons.

The kids can use the crayons to color the kraft paper, decorate a DIY Decorative Pumpkin Set and write or draw what they’re thankful for on leaves cut out of paper.

When the creating has come to an end and the kids have written or drawn what they’re thankful for, encourage them to hang their leaves on the “Tree of Thanks.” To make the tree, simply cut a large, tree-shaped branch and secure it in a plant pot with some styrofoam. The kids can read/see what everyone is thankful for and share it with each other and the Thanksgiving Harvest Stuffed Turkey.

The Favors

Party 24

Before the kids head home, help them tie the leaves that they etched their names into at the dining table to a favor box filled with goodies. We tucked pumpkin muffins, more Magic Color Scratch Fall Leaves and the turkey crayon pots inside Orange Treat Boxes that donned printable “Thankful for Friends Like You” Labels. It was a fun, heartwarming day that I hope has inspired you to recreate for your own little turkeys!
