Keep the kids attending your wedding, totally and completely occupied with this super fun DIY tablescape idea! Give them things to color, things to eat, things to play with and the full reign of this table – so they stay there – LOL. With a “kids table” they will meet other kids, play, laugh and enjoy, leaving the adults to do the same. For extra supervision, you could even appoint an older sibling or cousin to watch out for them. There is literally NO limit to the creative, fun, and entertaining items you can provide for the kids at this table!
These Clear Octagon Candy Buckets provided the perfect storage for all the fun kid items! They're inexpensive but sturdy and can easily be thrown away at the end of the night. One of my favorite parts of the table is the chalkboard table runner! I'm sharing the DIY tutorial for it here!
I used the Marvy Fine Point Bistro Chalk Markers to write all over the runner with fun notes for the kids!
I filled the six buckets with 3 items of candy and 3 things to play with.
Make the kids feel welcome and special by creating these DIY "kids only table" signs, I'm showing how here, plus the free printable design!
I've given each kid their own sunglasses, a pail with crayons, a pinwheel, a rubber ducky and clipboard with coloring sheets that double as their seating card! Find the DIY tutorial and the free printable coloring sheets here!
Tape inflated balloons to each container to create an eye-catching display for the kids and parents!
