An organized teacher is a happy teacher so keep calm, organize and teach on with these teacher favorites! Here are a few of my favorite teacher tips that will have your classroom a little more organized as you begin your school year.

My teacher heart goes pitter-patter when it sees colorful items all in a neat row. The colorful clipboards and clipboard holder are an absolute must-have to keep organized. My students no longer have to dig their clipboard our of a cluttered basket! Instead, they can easily access the clipboard color they prefer when it's time to work, and then when it's time to put them away they slide easily right back into their spot. This is also a game changer for teachers. Instead of using file folders you could put important information onto your clipboards for easy access.

You can't be organized without knowing what you have. Add colorful labels to your bins, folders and binders. I obviously love color coordinated things, so these paint chip labels are perfect. They come in an assortment of colors and are easily stored on a roll. Pair with your favorite Sharpie and you're all set to take on those storage shelves and closets. I also have these on hand for that first week when I am just learning a new set of names. I add my students' lunch pins and afternoon dismissal information to their name tags and have them ready to go for that first week of school. So many uses for these fun tags!

I am a self-proclaimed storage addict, I love to have sturdy containers that keep all of my essentials organized and neatly stored. I have searched high and low for just the right ones and I think I have finally found them. The turquoise book organizers are just the right size for folders and notebooks. Their sturdy sides make them ideal for my students to use daily. I use them in my reading corner, in my office and for my student notebooks. They easily store essentials so they're not cluttering up the insides of the desks.

I have to admit that I am a closet washi tape hoarder. With so many fun colors and patterns it's hard not to have a teacher crush on those little rolls of happiness. If you're like me and have way too many rolls, you might need some creative ideas on how to use them. I have used it to color code and level my class library and to help keep my teacher resources be easily identifiable. Picking one color for each unit, I label my teacher edition, teacher resources, student readers and reading games. This makes them easy to spot and identify which unit they belong to.

I love neatly organized teacher shelves. They make this teacher heart swoon with happiness. When my shelves are clutter-free I can easily find games and resources so my students can benefit from some hands-on interactions. These new learning games all come in easy-to-store boxes with clear titles. They're quick to stack and easy to find, and since the organization is built in, these are a must-have! I hope you found some new teacher must-haves to help you stay sane and organized this year. Keep calm, organize and teach on!
