Every year, Pantone unveils the color they anticipate will be trending in various markets. Whether it be in home design, fashion or weddings; their color choice sets the stage for the year's palette of inspiration. For 2020, they have chosen Pantone Classic Blue, which has been described as a simple, elegant invoking a sense of calm and resilience. We too were inspired by Pantone's choice and created a bold and rustically modern wedding tablescape based upon this gorgeous color.
We styled or classic blue wedding at The Square, a rustically modern venue in the heart of bucks county, Pennsylvania. It's warm and welcoming ambiance helped bring this lovely palette to life. While the inspiration for this wedding was Pantone Classic Blue, we also wanted to incorporate various hues of blue to bring a bit of dimension to our decor.
The Square's gorgeous farmhouse tables served as a beautiful base to begin building our tablescape.
Each place setting was composed of a White Elegance Dinner Plate, blue, linen napkin and a wooden appetizer plate.
We detailed the bride and groom's wooden plates to say Mr. and Mrs. using White Adhesive Vinyl. This is a simple way to add a lovely, personal touch to any tablescape.
A Clear Patterned Plastic Wine Glass and gorgeous blue goblet added a beautiful note of texture and a lovely hint of that slate blue we so adore. The place settings were made complete with Silver Metallic Cutlery.
We draped a gorgeous, dusty blue gauze cheesecloth table runner down the center of the table then added in various elements of decor.
Taper Candle Holders and Candlesticks were painted copper and held bold and beautiful blue candles. The candles were intermixed with dusty blue vases that held faux Peony Blooms, blue thistle and Silver Dollar Eucalyptus.
We created our own table number sign by adding a coat of Dark Blue Acrylic Paint atop Adhesive Vinyl spelling out our table number. Once the paint was dry, we peeled the vinyl away, revealing the clear acrylic script.
Our table number sat aside our DIY Menu Holder. We created this menu holder from copper pipe and attached to a painted DIY Unfinished Wood Box Frame.
The Frame was adorned with Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and few faux flower blooms.
Our menu was hung with Blue Ribbon so it hung from the center pipe and served as a functionally chic piece of decor. You can find the full tutorial for this project here!
Our fabulous friends at The Novel Baker created a gorgeous array of color coordinating sweets that served as a stunning backdrop for our Classic Blue wedding tablescape.
A beautiful blue cake with brushed gold accents and adorned with a stunning hand-crafted sugar flower was the focal point of our dessert buffet.
It was showcased on a copper-painted Round Wire Basket and Floral Hoop with Burgundy and Pink Peonies.
Extraordinary and-painted floral cookies were showcased on vintage-inspired white serving ware.
Delicious cupcakes topped with pale pink buttercream icing and blue fondant flowers were also enjoyed.
Our buffet was made complete with breathtaking cake pops that served as a scrumptious treat for our guests.
Guests were also treated to a token of our appreciation when stopping by our DIY Favor Station.
It consisted of Navy Blue Favor Boxes adorned with our Free Printable Thank You Tag, DIY flower Vase and Signage. You can follow our step-by-step tutorial to learn how we created and styled this small vignette here!
We also created and incorporated a DIY Ring Terrarium and Flower Cuff for our wedding ceremony and then used it as decor at our reception.
A Lillian Rose Copper Prism Hanging Ring Holder was personalized with the bride and groom's initials and filled with stems of Silver Dollar Eucalyptus and florals.
A Cuff worn by the flower girl was decorated in the same, chic manner. You can find the full tutorial for this project here!
