Have fun with a Nativity scene and turn the figures into Christmas tree ornaments. Attach a piece of twine or fishing line using hot glue to Nativity characters. The Mini Nativity Scene or this Chipboard Nativity Playset would work well. Once the ornaments are done, decorate the tree while telling the story of Jesus' birth. Give each family or guest an ornament to hang on the tree. Use the narrator parts of the Family Nativity Script to tell the story. You can have one narrator or include several people to read the different narrator parts. After each part of the story, have the family member or guest hang their character ornaments on the tree. Remember the greatest gift every time you look at the finished tree!

The greatest story ever told began with the first nativity. God's Son, Jesus, was born to save us all. Receiving the gift of Jesus is reason to celebrate not only during the Christmas season but at all times. Celebrating the Nativity Season includes five lessons revolving around the birth of Jesus. Lessons include the prophecy of Jesus' birth, God's plan for Mary and Joseph, the birth of Jesus, the angels' visit to the shepherds and the wisemen's visit to worship Jesus. A lesson can be done each week using the Celebrating the Nativity Lesson Book leading up to Christmas and each lesson provides a memory verse and a lesson point. Two fun activities to do with your family are suggested for each lesson.
