Looking to keep your kids busy over their holiday break? Inspire some Christmas creativity by making masks of different holiday favorites, from Santa to an adorable Snowman. Several of these masks can be made from paper plates, and others use easy-to-assemble craft kits. Once they have made their masks, encourage the kids to come up with their very own Christmas play to perform for the family!

Making a jolly Santa Claus Mask is as simple as a white paper plate and polyester fiberfill stuffing for his beard. Start by cutting out a half circle inside the paper plate. Then cut a red triangle from a piece of cardstock to make Santa's hat. Glue the hat to the top of the paper plate. Glue fiberfill around the rest of the plate to make his fluffy beard. Give Santa a red nose and rosy cheeks with a few pom-poms, and decorate his hat with pom-poms as well. Finish your mask by gluing a large wood craft stick to the back to use as a handle!

Mrs. Claus looks sweet with her wire rimmed glasses and holly in her hair. Start by cutting a half circle out of a white paper dinner plate. Glue polyester fiberfill stuffing to the top of the plate for her hair. Create a pair of glasses by bending black chenille stems into two circles and a frame. Glue the ends of the glasses to the backside of the paper plate. Use pom-poms to create a nose and rosy cheeks for Mrs. Claus. You can also add holly to her hair by bending green chenille stems into leaves and adding three red pom-pom berries. Finish the mask by gluing a wood craft stick to the back.
