It's a fun tradition at our house to watch A Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving together, and enjoy a Charlie Brown Feast consisting of pretzels, popcorn, jellybeans and toast -- just like in the movie. This year we created the perfect playdate for my little ones and their friends to celebrate this fun holiday. I love that they learn about Thanksgiving and friendship from Charlie Brown®. We created Turkey Crayon Holders, Mayflower Ship Cups and a Turkey Veggie Tray to go along with this party too!
A Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Playdate Decor
We started with a white tablecloth and added a lot of festive and colorful decor. The Charlie Brown Thanksgiving tablecloth made a cute runner for our kids' table. We used fold out pumpkins, and mini foam fall craft trees for our centerpiece. So cute and kid friendly! Kids sat and made Pilgrim Hats and Native American feather crowns to wear during their party. These also look cute hanging on the chairs when guests arrive.
A Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Playdate Buffet
This was such an easy party buffet to create! The food items in the movie are so fun! It's the complete opposite of a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. We used clear candy containers and filled them with all of Charlie Brown's favorite Thanksgiving foods; popcorn, jelly beans and pretzel sticks. We lined the buffet with fold out pumpkins and mini pumpkin favor boxes. You can put a little treat in the pumpkin favor boxes for guests to take home at the end of the party. I love how all of this colorful food looks against a white backdrop with white cake stands.

The kids loved coloring their Charlie Brown Thanksgiving placemats as a party activity. They used the crayons in their own Turkey Crayon Holder. See how to make this adorable project here. In the Charlie Brown movie kids learn about the Mayflower. I thought this would be a fun element to include into their table. Each kid had their own Mayflower Cup and Straw. The straws have a Mayflower ship sail with each child's name.
A Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Playdate Food Ideas
We made a healthy Turkey Inspired Veggie Tray to snack on before the movie. How cute is the colorful vegetable turkey?! Some feathers disappeared sooner than others. We loved adding a turkey face and gobbler to the veggie dip container. The kids enjoyed a Charlie Brown feast of popcorn, toast, jellybeans, and pretzels. This was probably their favorite Thanksgiving dinner of al time! We served these snacks on cute plates that said "Be Thankful." We also handed out these sweet "Be Giving" Napkins. The kids had fun watching the movie while coloring their place mats. We loved this fun playdate for Thanksgiving!
