Good grief, who doesn't love Charlie Brown, his dog Snoopy, and the rest of the Peanuts® gang? A Charlie Brown Christmas Party is a wonderful way to usher in the most wonderful time of the year. Our party features a Peanuts Themed Food Bar with lots of fun themed snacks, a Peanuts Snow Globe Craft, and a DIY Snoopy's Dog House Kids Craft that the kids will love making!
Watching A Charlie Brown Christmas each holiday season has been one of my family's Christmas traditions for as long as I can remember. I watched it every December growing up, and have carried that tradition on with my five children.
It just isn't Christmas without this classic, so I decided to create a nostalgic Charlie Brown Christmas Party for the holidays this year.!
Peanuts Themed Food Bar
My favorite part of the party was our Peanuts Themed Food Bar. Get all of the step-by-step details on how to put this table together here.
The food bar featured some creative food ideas like "Peppermint Patties," "Charlie Brown Christmas Trees," "Snowballs," and "Just Send Money" chocolate bills, just like Sally wanted from Santa Claus.
The food table featured large Charlie Brown and Snoopy characters, greenery with colorful ornaments above the table, and Free Printable Peanuts Food Labels with foam Peanuts characters on them.
An adorable Peanuts Snow Globe Christmas Craft sat on a cake plate surrounded by a small holiday wreath. This snow globe is a cinch to put together and the kids loved making them! They can be used to decorate their rooms for Christmas or to give away as a gift. Get the simple directions here to make your own!
Craft snow was sprinkled over everything to give it the nice, cozy look of freshly fallen snow.
White snowflakes and iridescent snowflakes hung from the bottom front of the table to add to the wintery feel of the party.
A small marble table to the left of the food bar held two felt Christmas trees I made and a large cake plate filled with edible donut hole "snowballs." Yum!
A large Snoopy stand-up sat at attention on his decorated dog house and was a great background to take photos in front of.
A Charlie Brown Christmas Table
A cute dining table was set up for party guests as well. This table was covered with a blue paper table covering made from the same blue paper I hung on the back wall.
Snoopy and pals paraded across the red plates at each place setting, as well as on the green napkins and smaller dessert plates. Peanuts stickers were placed on each cup to add to the theme.
Adorable Snoopy favor boxes sat at each spot and were decorated with a red glitter bow.
Inside each box were supplies for each child to create their own DIY Snoopy's Dog House Craft (minus the actual house, since it was too big to fit inside).
A sample Snoopy dog house was on display in the middle of the table, surrounded by a dusting of snow, some berries and greenery. This fun craft is a great way for kids to decorate Snoopy's dog house just like Snoopy did!
I hope you enjoyed this party as much as we did. Celebrating Christmas Peanuts® style is a wonderfully nostalgic way to spend the holidays with those you love most.
