Make a Candy Corn Tablecloth
Start your party prep by transforming your table into a giant candy corn with this simple tablecloth hack! All you need are three plastic tablecloths – one white, one yellow, and one orange. I used round tablecloths for my round table, but you can also use rectangular tablecloths to fit the size and shape of your table.
Start by layering the three tablecloths on the table with yellow on the bottom, orange in the middle, and white on the top. Then use a sharp pair of scissors to trim the white tablecloth to be about six inches below the tabletop. Then trim the orange tablecloth to be about six inches below than the white tablecloth. You should now have the three candy corn layers showing!
Create an Eye-Catching Centerpiece
Candy corn season is also pumpkin season! Combine the two themes by creating a candy corn pumpkin centerpiece. It is simple to make with white craft pumpkins and acrylic craft paint in orange and yellow. To create an eye-catching centerpiece arrange three of the pumpkins at different heights using this white candle holder set. You can also add a couple of painted pumpkins on the table.
Set the Table
Decorate your table with orange and yellow place settings and plenty of candy corn scattered down the table for some extra pizzaz! For each place setting I started with a natural woven placemat and orange dinner plates. Then I rounded out each setting with bright yellow napkins, yellow paper cups and orange cutlery. Using disposable cups and cutlery helps simplify the cleanup!
Surprise Guests with Party Favors
Each guest has their own party favors waiting for them at their place setting – a crate containing a plush candy corn corgi, a clear favor box filled with candy corn candies, and candy corn cellophane bags filled with more treats!
To make the crate, just paint three stripes on the front of a mini wood crate using white, orange, and yellow acrylic craft paint. If you want, you can personalize your candy boxes with a name using letter stickers or vinyl.
Make a Stunning Backdrop
A balloon garland backdrop for your party makes a big impact but is simple to make. All you need is a balloon decorating strip, 11” latex balloons in white, orange, and yellow, and a balloon pump. You can use a hand balloon pump like I did or try an electric balloon pump to make inflating the balloons even quicker. I inflated around 50 balloons for this garland.
To make the backdrop, I first inflated the balloons and then added them to the balloon decorating strip by poking the ends through the holes in the strip – so easy! I repeated a pattern of four white balloons, four orange balloons, and four yellow balloons.
Candy Corn Bowling
If you’re looking to incorporate a fun activity for your party, this candy corn bowling game is a must! I made a simple bowling lane with a roll of white paper and stripes with orange duct tape. I then hung a cute candy corn tissue garland above the lane for a simple decoration.
Lots of Candy Corn Treats!
Lastly, you must incorporate some great candy corn treats into your party! One of the simplest snacks you can make is candy corn paired with popcorn. It is surprisingly delicious! It offers the perfect combination of salty and sweet. I filled white plastic latte bowls with this popcorn mix and added it to the table settings.
