Every so often I get an itch to change things in my classroom. Whether it be moving around the desks, adding in some more flexible seating options or doing a complete classroom makeover. I find joy in mixing things up, for the next school year. My last classroom makeover was on point! I changed my classroom decor to a cactus theme classroom and I still love walking into my colorful room every morning. I definitely don't want to do an entire classroom makeover for this coming school year, but I do want to change it a little but. I was so inspired when I saw the new Schoolgirl Style Simply Stylish Line. I knew I could switch just a few things out and to make enough of a difference to dive into the new school year and that is what I did! Be sure to download the FREE Printable Bulletin Board Letters here to add some attitude to your classroom.
The first thing I did was pick out several different borders that I could mix and match together. Changing the borders and layering them together really makes a bulletin board pop! By just changing the borders, you change the way the room looks and feels in a simple and budget-friendly way. I decided to add in some cooler colors like mint, lilac and coral too. I layered the Schoolgirl Style Black & White Gingham Bulletin Board Borders, Black Chevron Bulletin Board Borders, Simply Sassy Pink Striped Bulletin Board Borders, and the Double-Sided Solid & Polka Dot Coral Bulletin Board Borders to play around with the patterns and set the tone of the room. Don't be afraid to mix patterns! Embrace the different styles.
For the base of one of my main classroom bulletin boards, I used the Fadeless® White Shiplap Bulletin Board Paper Roll. I love the brightness that this adds to my classroom. It makes everything I add to the board pop! I immediately added the Schoolgirl Style Stylish Script Words: Teach Mini Bulletin Board Set to the board. The inspirational words written in what looks like hand lettered script is beautiful. The Schoolgirl Style Simply Stylish Welcome Bulletin Board Set was put at the top along with Lilac Chevron Hanging Fans, Black Polka Dot Hanging Fans mixed with Coral Tissue Hanging Fan Assortment and Mint Green Tissue Hanging Fans. I think the part I love most about the Simply Stylish line is all the Schoolgirl Style Simply Stylish Tassel Bulletin Board Cutouts! I want to put those cute tassel accents all over my room!
While the Simply Stylish line looks chic and beautiful, I also love the inspiring words and quotes that are included in the Learn & Grow Bulletin Board Set. Nothing makes me happier than to think about my students walking into the classroom and feeling inspired, motivated and cared for. The quotes and words included in the entire Simply Stylish line do just that.
I transformed my student small group area by adding a bulletin board where I could easily showcase each student's "Fan-Cactus Work" throughout the year. I again used the Fadeless® White Shiplap Bulletin Board Paper Roll as a background for this corner of the room. On this bulletin board, I mixed three borders. This time I paired together Double-Sided Solid & Polka Dot Bulletin Board Borders in light purple, Home Sweet Classroom Fans Bulletin Board Borders and the Cactus Bulletin Board Borders.
Once I get my class list, I will write each student's name on these adorable Simply Stylish Succulent Bulletin Board Cutouts and layer their year's worth of work on top. To make the title of the bulletin board stand out I used a Cactus Party Garland, Cactus Shower Hanging Paper Fan Decorations, Black Polka Dot Hanging Fans, Mint Green Tissue Hanging Fans and Lilac Pom-Pom Decorations. Last but not least, to fill in some of the blank spaces on the wall I again used the Schoolgirl Style Simply Stylish Tassel Bulletin Board Cutouts and a piece from the Cactus Party Centerpieces.
I can't wait to add a little bit more flair to my classroom with this amazing set and sharing more of my classroom with you! Grab your free copy of the Fan-Cactus Work bulletin board letters here to personalize your own room!
