This year I'm using Peter Rabbit's Garden as my inspiration for my spring mantel. I wanted something fresh and a little whimsical so I thought I would brighten up my home with a farm-fresh-inspired Bunnies and Carrots Easter Mantel.

When I spotted this Orange Plaid Table Runner I knew it was a perfect inspiration and focal point for my mantel decorations. I cut the table runner to fit behind the vintage window that is always on display on my mantel. I love how it adds a fun pop of color in a simple and inexpensive way.

Next, I layered a Mixed Green Wreath over the window. I used the mixed green garland and hung it from the front of the mantel. Adding greenery is a great way to bring the outdoors inside for a fresh garden-inspired feel.

I loved the whimsical look of the Bunny Pom-Pom Garland but wanted it to coordinate with my vintage window. So, I cut out ears from the orange plaid table runner and hot glued them to the felt ears. I added Glitter Foam Carrots in between each fluffy bunny to create this cute and simple bunnies and carrot garland.

I used my Cricut to make a DIY Carrot Patch sign that helped pull this theme together. I used the Stained Wood Sign that I sanded down and lightened up with a wood stain to create a more natural look and feel.

Now that I have the main focal pieces, it's time to fill in the mantel with flowers, garden pots, and bunnies.

I filled a Pink Glass Bud Vase with faux flowers and then mixed in terra cotta pots to give it a fresh garden feel.

While I don't have a green thumb, my grandmother did and I always loved helping her plant new spring flowers in weathered and aged terra cotta pots. I decided to create my own special garden pots by making DIY Whitewashed Terra Cotta Pots. I filled them with moss and stacked and layered them all around the mantel.

Finally, I added some playful bunnies around the mantel. I use the Textured Table Top Bunny and Easter Bunny Silhouette Egg Holders to create the perfect Easter mantel display.

When it comes to decorating your mantel don't forget to complete the look by focusing on the entire space and not just the mantel ledge. To complete the look I added a tall wood lantern brightened up with greenery and faux flowers to the hearth. I filled a Brown Wood Crate with some of the orange plaid paper and Carrot-Shaped bags.

I can't wait for warmer weather, sunshine, sweet-smelling flowers, and all things spring. But, at least until Mother Nature decides to cooperate I can enjoy the beauty and fresh start of spring inside my home with my fun and whimsical Bunnies and Carrots Easter Mantel.
