Create a cozy space in your home this holiday season with my Buffalo Plaid Mantel Ideas. I love the look of the black and red buffalo plaid together, which adds a fun pop of color to my space. I also had fun mixing the calm cream and natural colors that really created a rustic look. By using a mix of the buffalo plaid holiday decor and rustic elements I've transformed my typical holiday decor. I will share with you how I created the Buffalo Print Mantel, including a few DIY projects to get you ready for holiday decorating this year.
I began by adding the Buffalo Plaid Yard Sign to the front of my gold frame. It looked like a framed piece of art! I love the deer head and word "JOY." I added this to the center of my mantel. The rustic wreath with the buffalo plaid bow was perfect to add to the right of the printed sign. I staggered Buffalo Plaid Cone Trees and Large Cream Sisal Trees across the mantel to balance each side. The Pinecone Votives look so pretty spaced in between the trees and wreath.
DIY Pinecone Garland
The first DIY project I created for my mantel was this rustic DIY Pinecone Garland. It was such a fun and easy project. I loved adding Mini Pinecones dipped in faux snowflakes to a string of rustic natural jute. I added this across my mantel in between the hanging stockings.
Rustic Stocking Tags
I personalized our stockings in a fun new way. The Rustic Wood Slice Ornaments were the perfect way to add a cool DIY Rustic Stocking Tag. On the back, I used black and metallic Sharpie® markers to add our family names. They look so pretty hanging against the Buffalo Plaid Stockings.
I really enjoy the bright pops of red and black against the natural cream, tan, and white colors in the mantel.
Try adding some pieces at the bottom of your mantel, the hearth. I arranged items on a Buffalo Plaid Serving Tray to set on one side of my hearth. Red lanterns, natural birch pillars, and pinecone votives are perfect for this Rustic Buffalo Plaid Mantel.
Soften up the other side of your hearth with buffalo plaid pillows. I love the white silhouette of the deer printed on the pillow.
These pillows really balance the mantel to add some decor items to the bottom as well as the top.
We can't wait for warm nights around a cozy fire in this space. Cuddled up as a family with some hot cocoa. It's so fun to create a holiday space to make family memories.
