There’s nothing more special than the arrival of a new baby! I have been blessed with three baby boys, so naturally I’m drawn to all things boy! When I saw the adorable Oriental Trading’s Boy Baby Clothes product line, I knew I wanted to create an intimate baby shower luncheon to show them off!
Many times, expecting moms will have more than one baby shower; one with family and friends and possibly another at work or church. Not all baby showers need to be a grand event, but they should all be special. I’m excited to share some easy ideas, perfect for a luncheon baby shower for that special mom-to-be!
The Decorations:
I knew I wanted to set the stage with a soft backdrop. I hung blue tulle behind my table as well as a fun Baby Romper Tassel Garland that I made. See my full tutorial HERE. Striped Paper Lanterns make the perfect table centerpiece. Square Dinner Plates also make a great alternative to traditional chargers. Just add the Boy Baby Clothes Dinner Plates and you're all set! Light Blue Rock Candy Pops in glasses make the perfect stirrers for lemonade or tea.
The Food: If you're planning a luncheon and short on time, keep things simple. Cucumber Finger Sandwiches are a cinch to make and are also easy on the budget. Get my recipe HERE.
Fill Baby Shower Favor Boxes with fresh veggies and dip. Check out my tutorial on how to make these cute little boxes HERE.
Don't forget something sweet! Fill the boxes with your favorite popcorn mix for dessert. Not only does it satisfy the sweet tooth, but it also keeps messes to a minimum.
Don't forget the party favors! Fill glass jars with coordinating gumballs for the guests to take with them.
