This fall create a cozy Bohemian-inspired mantel with natural elements, a DIY Feather and Wood Hanging Wreath, and macrame.
Bring the cozy comfort of fall to your home with a Bohemian-inspired fall mantel that transitions all the way from fall to Thanksgiving.
My living room is one of my favorite spots, especially as the weather gets cooler. I can't wait to cozy up with blankets and enjoy the warmth of the fire while surrounded by decorations inspired by nature. Our mantel is one of my favorite places to decorate for each holiday and season. Over the year's I've transformed this mantel into everything from a sweet and simple Modern Farmhouse Easter Mantel to a whimsical and bright North Pole Christmas Mantel. This fall I wanted something stylish yet simple and decided to create a Boho Fall Mantel perfect for the entire fall season.
Full of neutrals, mixed with tons of different textures, and pops of yellow and turquoise this fall mantel idea will help you celebrate the change of season.
The DIY Fall Feather Hanging I made acts as the focal point for the mantel and adds the perfect pop of texture and color.
I used the Stained Wood Sign as a large anchor piece on the left side of the mantel. I simply sanded it down and gave it more of a distressed wood look to fit with the natural theme. It also serves as the perfect hanger for the Gather Canvas Banner. Layering these two pieces creates visual interest and makes each piece stand out.
Next, I added a pop of green with the Olive Branch Garland along the mantel ledge. I used stacks of books to create additional layers and height, which I then used to stack decorative pieces like the glass vase with macrame trim.
Next, I added in a few white pumpkins because you can't celebrate fall without a few pumpkins. Using white pumpkins instead of orange helps keep with the neutral vibe.
Now that you have the basic pieces it's time to add in pops of color with clusters of flower-filled vases. Grouping like items in clusters adds lots of visual interest and keeps everything feel fresh and clean.
I filled small Amber Glass Bud Vases with dried grass and stalks of wheat. Yellow pom-pom flowers add a pop of color and look stunning in the Amber Ridged Glass Vases. Elevate some of your vases with a DIY Mini Boho Plant Stand and Jute Jars.
Add a little bit of sparkle with Gold Taper Candle Holders. I added turquoise candles for another pop of color, and it ties in perfectly with the hanging wreath.
We have so many things to be grateful for, and I've found it especially important to remind myself and my children this as we continue to navigate this challenging year. I made a DIY mini faux leather and gold foil grateful sign with my Cricut to serve as the perfect stylish reminder. This simple sign looks great surrounded by all of the natural elements on my Boho Fall Mantel Decorating Ideas. If you don't want to make your own sign you can download the Grateful Free Printable here and frame it in a 4x6 rustic frame to recreate the same look.
This fall, dress up your mantel with fall-inspired Boho decor. With its natural elements and simple decor you can easily transition this mantel all the way through Thanksgiving.
