Hosting a day-after brunch for your guests after the big day has turned into a huge trend! It’s a fun way to extend the merriment and celebration of the wedding weekend. And what better way to enjoy a tasty brunch than by offering a DIY Mix Your Own Bloody Mary Bar to your family and friends! A Bloody Mary is an absolute must at brunch and your guests are sure to flip over this darling DIY station– especially those who might have had a little too much fun at the reception! This Bloody Married Bar features everything you’ll need for your guests to whip up their very favorite Bloody Mary recipe. Whether they like their bloodies beefy or spicy, with this setup they’ll have everything at their fingertips! Best of all, this spread was super easy to put together and it looks incredibly chic and modern, if I do say so myself! I’ve even whipped up some adorable free printables for you to use to put this look together yourself!
To set up this adorable station, you'll just want to empty each of your fixings into a mason jar. The pint mason jars are great for larger items like celery, pickles, bacon, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, peppers and more. The mini mason jars are perfect for ground spices like black pepper, paprika, garlic salt, cayenne, celery salt, Old Bay, chili powder, cumin and more.
Pour your excess juices from your pickles or olives into small pitchers– that extra juicy flavor can add just the thing to make your Bloody Mary perfect! Grab a couple of small bowls or ramekins to display lemon and lime wedges, and other wet spices like chili paste and horseradish. Use the mini silver spoons so your guests can easily scoop out the items, and place jars of toothpicks or skewers so they can pick out produce items from the jars without using their fingers.
I also used a wooden box I had to prop up the beverage dispensers so that a cup could easily fit beneath the spout. I also used a few kraft paper boxes I had lying around (from my Birchbox subscription) to add a little height to some of the jars I placed in the back of my display. The key to a nice looking display is symmetry and some height variance for interest!
Just looking at these photos again is making me want a savory sip right now! How do you like your Bloody Mary's? I personally love mine with a little kick of spice, some horseradish, and with a skewer of fixings to nosh on at the top. The best part of drinking a Bloody Mary is the little snack that comes with it, am I right?
