Celebrate with a Blazing Firefighter Birthday Party including tutorials for a Burning Building Backdrop, Blazing Fire Garland and a Cherry Limeade recipe.
I've always had a huge admiration for the devotion and sacrifices firefighters make daily to save lives. Maybe it's my childhood dream of becoming one myself or the years I spent volunteering at the Fire Department as an explorer in high school. Whatever the reason, I love a great firefighter-themed birthday party! I'm excited to share my love for firefighting with this fun and festive Firefighter Party that's perfect for your child's next birthday!
Easy DIY Party Decorations
Once the theme has been decided for a party, I always like to start the party planning with a backdrop. When I saw the Large City Skyscraper Cupcake Stands I knew they'd be perfect backdrops for my table. They are just the right size for a simple yet bold statement. I wanted to transform them into burning buildings to tie into the party theme. You can see the complete Burning Building Backdrop tutorial HERE. Of course, I love it when a backdrop doubles as a functional piece of party decor. The Fire Hydrant Cups with Straws and Firefighter Party Favor Boxes fit perfectly.
With a dab of glue, I added a Firefighter Badge to the Firefighter Party Hydrant Drink Dispenser and made it my centerpiece for the table. I also filled it up with Homemade Cherry Limeade. Try my recipe HERE.
I can't have a party without a garland, and tassels are my absolute favorite. So naturally, I made one to hang in the front of my table. You can check out the tutorial for my Blazing Fire Party Garland HERE.
To carry on the burning building theme, I also transformed the Cityscape Candy Buckets into burning building buckets. You can see the tutorial on my blog HERE.
I'm also sharing how to make these Blazing Snack Cups on my blog HERE.
The Party Table In my opinion, every party needs cupcakes with coordinating cupcake holders. The Fire Hydrant Cupcake Stand was just the right size for the center of the kids' party table. I added a few cupcakes and topped them with Firefighter Hat Shaped Lollipops.
I covered the table with a black table cloth and striped table runner to match the theme and put a Red Paper Charger at each place setting. I added the Firefighter Party Paper Dinner Plates and Firefighter Party Luncheon Napkins then rolled the napkins and placed a Firefighter Badge on top as a napkin holder. I love it when party favors can double as decor too! Party Favors and Dress Up I can't have a party without party favors. I set out Kids' Fire Chief Hats and a fire hose back packs at each table setting. The back packs were a huge hit!
My son loved playing fireman for the day in the Kid's Firefighter Costume. He really gets into character. I've purchased so many costumes for my three boys over the years that I've lost count. So I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the costume. It even included bright red suspenders and a pant jumpsuit. We added the Junior Fire Chief Helmet to the ensemble. Not only did it light up but it also came with a siren! My son literally played "firefighter" for hours! Hmm...maybe this is a sign of his future career choice?
These hose packs make the best party favors, better than any water guns my boys have played with in the past!
And that's it! Everything you need to set up a bright and festive Firefighter Birthday Party. Be sure to check out my tutorials for the Blazing Fire Tassel Garland, Burning Building Backdrop and my recipe for Cherry Limeade.
