There's no rule that says an Easter table has to be bursting with color. Break with tradition and give your Easter table a modern refresh. We like to think of this table as a twist on the Scandinavian aesthetic. This contemporary look features a black and white color palette and incorporates layered patterns and designs. The bold contrast of black & white against a pop of fresh spring green and pastels really grabs the eye and is sure to impress guests.
THE TABLE
Start with a Black & White Buffalo Check Plastic Tablecloth Roll. Fold it to create a runner down the center of the table. Leaving the edges of the table white prevents the check pattern from overwhelming the other layered patterns you'll add later.
Sprinkle handfuls of Small Speckled Foam Easter Eggs down the middle of your table. The color plays off the black and white, creating a dramatic statement.
In the center of the table place a unique Black & White Easter Egg Centerpiece that spells out "Happy Easter" to your guests. Find out how to make this fun egg carton craft HERE.
Add a touch of spring to each end of the table with a few branches of pussy willow in White Ceramic Vases.
Dress up DIY Ceramic Easter Bunnies to join the festivities. Paint the bunnies white and the inside of their ears pink. Create a bowtie using Black & White Buffalo Check Ribbon.
TABLE SETTINGS
Layer the place settings and patterns starting with a dramatic Black Overlapping Chevrons Round Paper Dinner Plate. Add a Black Paper Dinner Plate before topping with a Black Terrazzo Triangle Print Round Paper Dessert Plate.
The black plate and tied napkin work to break up the two distinct patterns, allowing them both to shine.
On top of the plate add a few Small Speckled Foam Easter Eggs to further emphasize the monochromatic color palette.
A Goldtone Hammered Cutlery Set, Black Overlapping Chevron Paper Cups and Premium Plastic Champagne Flutes help complete this brunch table.
Finally, add a little sweet treat for guests to have after their meal or as a take home favor. Wrap a Black Polka Dot Hexagon Favor Box with a strip of ribbon and paint a miniature bunny black before gluing it to the top of the box.

I have a lot of friends that love getting involved in an activity when they come over and Easter is the perfect occasion! I set up a small egg decorating station with 11 Easy Black & White Decorating Ideas for them to try out. Get the how-to for each of these ideas HERE.
I used a Flipside Chalk Board with a fun play on words to encourage guests to get involved. String a Bunny Pom-Pom Garland over the board to give it a cute Easter feel.
I set up a Small Rugged Slate Tray with egg decorating ideas to inspire guests.
On one side of the tray I added plenty of supplies to help guests decorate their own eggs; paints, sharpies, paintbrushes, washi tape, food dye and paint palettes.
A Hammered Gold Decorative Bowl makes a glamorous holder for rubber bands.
On the other side of the table a Rectangle Wire Basket is the perfect size to hold eggs for guests to decorate. I added a few Metallic Golden Easter Eggs for the wow factor.
On both sides of the table I added chic black & white easter baskets for guests to take their completed eggs home in. These DIY Modern Black & White Easter Egg Ideas are so easy to make. Get the full DIY instructions HERE.
