Why should kids get to have all the Halloween fun? Adults will flock to this spookily stylish soiree that is sure to wow them with all the to die for details! A bold black and white color palette, mixed with fall hued florals, will stun guests at first glance. Black ostrich feathers, along a few black birds, sprinkled about the party add just the right amount of whimsy without going completely overboard. Throw in a few cocktails bubbling over with dry ice and everyone is bound to have a Halloween to remember!
Creepy Chic Decor
We ditched the typical orange hues for Halloween and went with a more striking color palette for our dinner party. Decorating a space with a mix of black and white can sometimes feel cold and ominous, however, splashing bits of greenery and fresh fall blooms about the room can dramatically soften the look.
Guests remarked at how frighteningly fabulous the decor was! They swooned over the chic and stylish black trellis backdrop that popped against our white walls. The simple white balloon garland crept up the trellis and was a subtle nod to our theme thanks to the addition of the black ostrich feathers.
You can't have a bird-themed party without a bird's nest, so we crafted a gothic version by transforming a black bat lighted wreath into a chandelier that floated above our dining table. The black crow-topped wreath went from "eek" to chic with the addition of a eucalyptus garland and pretty peonies.

A Tablescape to Crow About
We skipped using a tablecloth and lined the table with a swath of black creepy cloth instead. We love how the black color juxtaposed our light wood table.
White hammered decorative bowls were filled with a mix of fall blooms and brought a beautiful splash of color to each end of our dining table. They each rested atop a "nest" of silver dollar eucalyptus sprigs.
A skull vase filled with roses looked ghoulishly glam sitting in the center of our table.
Silvertone taper candle sets and silver candle holder sets, both spray painted gold, sat next to a vintage black candlestick. These candle holders all flanked the sides of the skull vase centerpiece.
Combined together, they brought height and dimension to the dining table.
Gothic Glam Place Settings
Our table was set with low-maintenance disposable, yet chic, paper plates. We loved how the dessert plates coordinated with the skull vase centerpiece.
Gothic Halloween dessert plates were layered atop solid black hexagon dinner plates for a balanced look.
Premium gold cutlery was dipped in gray paint to stand out and rested on a Gothic halloween dinner napkin to the left of our plates.
We created frightfully beautiful black and gold feather topped Birdcage Place Cards to designate our guests' spots at the table. A tiny red flower added the perfect pop of color to each place card.
Guests loved that they were able to take them home as a reminder of the fun that was had while creepin' together. You can find the tutorial to turn black raven string lights and mini branch wreaths into your own Birdcage Place Cards here.
Our signature cocktails were served in skeleton hand glasses and looked positively macabre with the addition of dry ice. A black patterned wine glass sat nearby ready to be topped off.
Sweets to Die For
Hello gorgeous cake! Who knew black frosting could look so stunning?
Missy P. Sweets created this incredible confectionary delight and we simply could not get over the beautiful details. The front of the cake looked as if it had been brushed gold with feathers and we were so in love!
A black crow sat next to our gold-painted metal bird cage, which held a white hammered bowl filled with beautiful blooms.
We loved how something so uncomplicated, like the white balloon garland, could make such a statement over our dessert table.
Our beautiful no-mess foam pumpkin turned No-Carve Raven Pumpkin sat atop a white candle holder on our dessert table. You can find the steps to create your own No-Carve Raven Pumpkin here.
A simple sign, reflecting the theme of our party, was created by painting a DIY slat sign white, and then adding the quote, which was cut from black vinyl. Download the Free Birds of a Feather Creep Together Printable here to make your own! An old wine bottle, holding flowers and black ostrich feathers, stood next to the sign and received a vintage look with the help of a few layers of black and gold acrylic paint.
Additional pre-mixed cocktails were kept on hand in skeleton hand glasses, which lined a wooden coffin tray that had been painted black.
