If you love Halloween witches but prefer the sillier variety to the scary ones, then this is the front porch for you! With two young daughters, I tend to go for cute rather than scary or gory Halloween decorations, and this witch decor is festive and colorful, which I love! A large-scale, but simple DIY Witch Wreath is the focal point with lots of other fun witch details extending beyond the porch and out into the front yard!
Witch Wreath
When decorating your porch for the holidays, always start with the front door! I love making my own wreaths for our front door, and this DIY Witch Wreath couldn't be easier to make. I just looped burlap through a wire wreath form to create the base of the wreath. The addition of the green and black striped witch legs and black hat makes it hard to miss from the street! The "BOO" mat below the witch is another simple craft I have reused for many Halloweens. You can find the tutorial here.
Witch Pumpkins
Another simple craft project you can incorporate into your witch-themed decor are these DIY Witch Pumpkins. More silly than scary, I used the stem of an orange foam pumpkin to serve as the witch's nose, and faux spiderweb for her hair. I placed a couple of the witch pumpkins on a bench along with some black and white pillows. A glittery witch silhouette sign hangs on the wall above.
Witch Inflatable
Why stop at the porch when you can extend the witch theme out into the front yard! We added this super fun air-blown hanging witch to the columns on one side of the porch to look like she was climbing up them. The witch even lights up at night. I like that it is an inflatable without being so large that it takes over your yard!
Witch Yard Stakes
My favorite addition might just be these large witch legs poking out from the grass! These yard stakes are silly without being scary, and coordinate perfectly with the witch wreath on the front door. These silhouette witch yard signs would also be the perfect addition to a witch-filled front yard.
Additional Witch Details
The more witches the better! To dress up our planters on each side of the front door, I painted these DIY wood witch stakes a bright orange to really pop. Over to the side of the porch, a cute little plush witch is sitting on a "bubbling" cauldron (filled with faux spider web).
