Our bee-day decor was sweeter than honey thanks to the cutest printables that were sprinkled throughout the party. We started with the adorable scroll banner over the dessert table, then let the rest flow from there. A white and yellow balloon garland, dressed up with light pink flowers, hung over our banner to complete the look. Be sure to download all the first bee-day party printables here!

We framed a happy bee-day printable in a simple white plastic frame and placed it in between two vintage black candlesticks. The candlesticks held busy bee Easter eggs that worked perfectly with our party decor. These eggs were a fun treat for little hands to play with during the party and to take home afterwards.bee-themed-first-birthday-party

The no-frills frame was the perfect canvas to dress up with a few "honeycombs", which were created by painting mini wooden hexagons yellow and adding wooden adhesive bees. We simply hot glued them to opposite corners of the frame.

Flower-filled glass milk bottles and vintage soda bottles were placed on either side of our centerpiece. The soda bottles were wrapped with yellow baker's twine and held a "bouquet" of black, grey and light pink pom poms, which were stuck onto bamboo skewers. A tiny wooden bee was attached to each pink pom pom.

The pink spray painted milk jars were wrapped with baker's twine and decorated with a single yellow hexagon along with a wooden bee. An adorable free printable honeycomb pennant, which was printed on white cardstock and hot glued to a bamboo skewer, was added to each pink jar.

Buzz-worthy Tablescape

Don't be afraid to use everyday items when dressing your dining table. An over-sized black and white tea towel worked perfectly as a tablecloth when turned on the diagonal.

The honeycomb detailing continued with our place settings. We painted DIY hexagon wood signs half white and half yellow then used them as placemats. Bee party dinner plates rested atop square black and white striped dinner plates and sat next to a bee party lunch napkin on the left and a silver plastic fork to the right.

Each place setting also had a glass milk bottle wrapped in black ribbon and decorated with hexagon shapes and an adhesive bee. A pink polka dot straw finished off the look.

We created sweet DIY Honeycomb Place Cards using clear hexagon place cards for each guest. They were placed on mini easels and were delightful little take-home gifts after the party ended. You can find the DIY to create your own DIY Honeycomb Place Cards here.

One of the sweetest details of this party was the DIY No Sew Honey Bee Banner we added to the birthday girl's high chair. You can see how we used a canvas banner to create a No Sew Banner here.

Sweet As Honey Treats

DIY hexagon wall shelves made the perfect dessert stands and added height as well as visual interest to our dessert table. While our dessert table held all the sweets, a simple stool held a beverage dispenser to the right.

The DIY hexagon wall shelves were color-blocked white and yellow and displayed lemon cupcakes, mini lemon cakes and delicious honey bee cookies from Say Anything Bakery.

The yummy lemon cupcakes were topped with hexagon-shaped bee printables, which were printed on white cardstock and glued to trimmed bamboo skewers.

Our naked smash cake sat front and center atop a yellow cake plate we had on hand, which received another mini DIY honeycomb and wooden bee.

The cake was simply decorated with light pink flowers and a bit of faux greenery.

Additional vintage soda bottles filled with pom pom "flowers" sat on either side of our dessert table next to clear cupcake pedestals filled with our Stacked Donut Bee Hives.

We set up a small table to the left of our dessert dresser to act as our party favor station. The small table held another flower-filled milk bottle vase, along with a vintage soda bottle filled with pom pom "flowers". A tabletop easel held a giant honeycomb cookie set and bee cookie, which were deliciously created by Say Anything Bakery.

We wrapped up yellow and white candied popcorn in cellophane bags and tied them with black and white baker's twine to thank all our guests for coming to the bee-day party by sending them home with a final sweet treat! A large wood hexagon wall shelf, which was painted white and yellow, acted as a tray for the treats.
