To create a faux wood picket fence, cut one end of a Schoolgirl Style Woodland Whimsy Bulletin Board Border into a point that resembles a fence post. Repeat for your desired number of fence posts and then tape the cut borders onto the wall vertically. Add uncut borders horizontally between the fence posts to create rails. To finish off the green grass and add dimension, cut 12" strips of green cardstock and then run each strip firmly between your fingers and thumb (fingers on top, thumb underneath) to make them curl. Tape the curled strips behind the top of the green background.

Your students can even contribute to this decor idea by crafting up Sunflower Hanging Paper Fan Craft Kits. Use a marker to write each student's name on one of the foam sunflower leaves. Tape the completed flowers behind the paper grass blades.

Use the cut out 'welcome' from the Bright Classroom Welcome Banner with Pom-poms and hang it on the shiplap background. For our door decor, we used a mix of Lowercase Script Bulletin Board Letters, Jumbo Bulletin Board Letters and Black Bulletin Board Letters. We like to use different bulletin board letter fonts to create more visual interest!

Mad for Plaid

It's easy to create a buffalo plaid background on the other side of the door, simply by using 12x12 colored cardstock in three different colors; black, white and gray. Simply tape the colored cardstock onto the wall, butting the papers up next to each other. Viola! Couldn't be easier!

Add honeycomb accents by spray painting the front and back of Metallic Gold Hexagon Paper Dessert Plates. Once the paint is dry, use Mavalus® Multi-purpose Adhesive Tape to hang the paper plates on your decor.

3D bees make a fun addition, and you can make them by gluing Yellow Hanging Honeycomb Decorations onto a sheet of cardstock so that the backs are flat; basically just open the honeycomb halfway and glue it onto the paper. Cut the excess paper off of the honeycomb and then glue Black Scalloped Borders around the honeycomb to make stripes. To make bee wings, download, print and cut out the wing templates. Trace the wings onto a sheet of white cardstock and then cut them out and glue them to the honeycomb bee. Make some cute antennae with Jumbo Black Chenille Stems. Tape the bees around the door decor as if they are buzzing around.
