Be our guest and join us for tea at our whimsical and elegant Beauty and the Beast Tea Party! Beauty and the Beast is one of our childhood favorites and we couldn’t be more excited about the live action film set to debut this spring. We love Belle’s inquisitive, intellectual nature and her kind heart; all which inspired this princess tea party!
One of the main themes depicted throughout the movie is true love, which is represented by the cloched rose that we see weaved into the plot of the film. We knew we wanted the rose to be the main inspiration for the tea party and loved incorporating it into our decor! Belle's classic yellow ball gown and the rose inspired our feminine color palette! A satin yellow table cloth was paired with both a pink satin runner as well as a gold sequined runner for a touch of royal elegance.
We wanted to include plenty of colorful flowers for our centerpiece, using fresh yellow roses and some faux roses that we trimmed from a Pink Rose Garland.
A royal crown was the focal point of the centerpiece and displayed fresh garden florals to bring the garden feel to our table.
DIY Ceramic Teapot Flower Planters were painted gold and filled with more fresh flowers and sat on either side of the crown. The teapots each displayed a custom rose drink stirrer by our friends at Ten23.
At each end of the royal dining table, we created rose-adorned Boxwood topiaries to bring a garden feel to the tablescape. These royal topiaries were an easy DIY project that really added a touch of elegance to the party. You can find our full tutorial for this bright and fresh garden topiary here!
Each place setting was layered with a pink rose charger, a gold scalloped dinner plate topped with a Candy Pink Round Dinner Plate, a napkin folded into a rosette, petite tea cups and more so guests could dine in style and sip on tea. To continue the rose theme, we added rose beads to each Light Pink Plastic Fork for a feminine and floral detail.
The custom rose inspired chargers were created by our friends at Ten23 and were painted to match our decor perfectly!
Miniature Clear Cupcake Stands displayed Rose Rock Candy Cupcakes at each place setting. We dressed up our cupcakes with glamorous Gold Laser Cut Cupcake Wrappers. You can find the full recipe for our cupcakes here!
The perfect petite pink and gold tea cups sat at each place setting so the girls could actually have tea.
Of course, every princess needs to look like royalty when attending a fancy tea, so we created these adorable DIY Princess Tiaras for our guests. You can find the full tutorial to create these sweet princess Tiaras as home here! These are the perfect party favors that can be reused over and over again!
The backdrop table had an equally sophisticated display. A rose embroidered backdrop was enhanced with a Gold Glitter Picture Frame Cutout highlighting a DIY Rose made from paper plates and faux flowers. You can check out how we made the paper plate flowers in our DIY Beauty and the Beast Tea Cart post!
The table featured a Lumiere inspired candelabra on gold painted books inspired by Belle's love of literature. Round Gold Mercury Bud Vases with fresh florals, Rose Gold Glitter Votive Holders and vintage tea serving plates rounded out the scene.
Of course, we had to include the iconic cloched rose, which we created by flipping a Hurricane Glass Vase upside down, adding a fresh yellow rose, surrounding it with flowers from a Pink Rose Garland and setting a small glass detail on top!
Lastly, every tea party needs a tea cart full of sweets and treats! We set up the perfect tea cart which displayed a flower draped birthday cake and tea pots brimming with fresh florals which added a soft, feminine touch to this darling dessert display! We also included plenty of candies for guests to enjoy or mix into their tea! You can get our tips to recreate our DIY Tea & Candy Cart here!
