Oh boy, a Lil' Slugger is on his way! Let's welcome baby boy with a Baseball Themed Diaper Keg that's sure to be a home run. This winning party idea is perfect for a couple's baby shower on a warm summer day!
This all-American baby shower is unique, fun, and interactive so your guests are sure to have a ball. If mom and dad's first love was baseball then it seems only fitting to welcome their new bundle of joy with an iconic baseball party. For this party, I wanted to create an all-American vibe with red, white, and blue along with classic baseball decorations and food.
I started setting our designated dining table with a couple artificial grass runners I had on hand. Next, I layered Baseball Mitt Plates on top of Red Square Dinner Plates. I also laid out Baseball Luncheon Napkins and Baseball Beverage Napkins at each place setting. Don't forget to include Baseball Plastic Cups and Baseball Dessert Plates for each guests as well! Finish by scattering Realistic Baseball Stress Balls and Red Baseball Caps down the entire length of the table.
I had originally planned to host this party at a nearby park and baseball field, but mother nature had different plans and decided to rain for weeks prior to the party. Of course! Instead, I set up a grand slam concession stand inside, which made the perfect focal point for the party.
I started by creating a backdrop using the Baseball Round Table Cloth. Next, I layered a giant red, white and blue balloon garland over the backdrop. I absolutely love how a balloon garland can instantly create a focal point wherever it's placed. One of the great things about using a balloon garland at any celebration is that they are easy to make and an inexpensive option that will quickly transform any space whether inside or outside.
After creating our focal point it was time to bring in the snacks. You can't go to a baseball game without visiting the concession stand. I filled jars, crates, and trays with classic baseball game snacks like popcorn balls, peanuts, and Coke®. The Peanuts Popcorn Boxes tied into the party theme perfectly after being topped with fresh peanuts.
One of my favorite elements of this party were the Personalized Baseball Sports Drink Labels. These labels were such a fun way to add a personal touch and celebrate the new little peanut on the way.
With all those salty snacks guests are going to need something sweet to balance it out. I turned a white store-bought cake into a baseball with some red icing and added a few DIY Pennants with the baby's name.
Don't forget to stock up on all the baseball-themed party goods for your "ballpark." I thought these Take Me Out to the Ball Game Baseball Beverage Napkins were perfect for a baby shower or diaper keg. I know the mom and dad-to-be can't wait to take their little peanut to his first baseball game!
Don't forget to add personalized touches like this Lil Slugger DIY pennant flag that I made using a blank pennant and some vinyl lettering.
With all these fun yet simple party details this baby shower is sure to be a home run!
