Head outside with these ideas for a flower-filled backyard Easter brunch and egg hunt. Cover a patio table with a pretty tablecloth and keep the tableware simple with these Floral Easter Bunny paper plates. Scatter flower decorated Easter eggs down the center of the table and let kids make their own flower crown. Personalized Easter bunny basket favors and a simple DIY Easter bunny balloon garland make the party extra special.
Table Decor
The star of our outdoor table was lily long ears, a resin bunny that I accented with a paper flower from this spring flower crown craft kit. I scattered additional paper flowers down the center of the table along with pastel plastic Easter eggs decorated with self-adhesive flowers and DIY unfinished wood bunnies painted in pink, purple and yellow.
The tablecloth is actually a basic canvas painter's drop cloth stenciled with a flower motif. Drop cloths are durable and easily washable, making them a great outdoor tablecloth!
In addition to using as table decor, the spring flower crown craft kit is a fun activity for kids to make and wear during the brunch and egg hunt. The kit comes with enough to make 12 crowns and uses adhesive dots to create the precut flowers - no glue or scissors needed.
Place Settings
At each place setting, I started with a pretty flower placemat, which can look great used indoors or out and has an easy to wipe off surface. On top of each placemat I used a premium white plastic plate as a charger and a Floral Easter Bunny paper plate on top. One tip is to put a loop of masking tape between the paper plate and charger to prevent the plate from blowing away in the wind! Lavender paper cups, hot pink striped straws, hot pink forks, and a Floral Easter Bunny luncheon napkin rounded out each place setting.
Party Favors
For a bunny party favor that doubled as a place card, I started with the DIY unfinished wood bunny baskets and painted them in pink, purple, and yellow. I added letter stickers and filled them with colorful Easter grass and chocolate eggs. You can find the step-by-step tutorial for the Easter bunny party favors here.
Bunny Balloon Garland Backdrop
Balloons make every occasion a little more fun. I created this DIY bunny balloon garland as a simple backdrop to hang behind our patio table. I started with a floral garland and tied on balloons. I transformed the balloons into bunnies with a pair of paper ears, pom-pom nose, and chenille stem whiskers. You can find the step-by-step tutorial here.
Easter Egg Hunt
A backyard brunch isn't complete without an Easter egg hunt! I used lots of pastel plastic eggs decorated with adhesive flowers for the egg hunt. For baskets, I dressed up basic solid color Easter baskets with felt tulip embellishments and felt daisies along the outside.
