One of the best things about a new school year is getting new supplies. I feel like it is a necessity to help you start of the year with a bang. Today, I want to share some products that will not only help you start off the year right but will last all year long, if not longer.
I used to be the type of teacher that hit up the local stores for cheap folders and spent hours laminating and cutting out each folder that would eventually peel off within a few weeks into school. Now, I immediately reach for these amazing pocket folders that are a great quality and come already laminated and ready to go. The folders I used last year were in great shape all year and I was even able to save many to reuse this year. A few of my favorites are the common core, smiley faces, and class work folders.

I use the assessment folders to store portfolios for each student. It was so easy to grab out during data meetings or parent conferences. I added names to the cover by using a label, that way I can use the folders for years to come. My students were able to sort their papers into the correct section independently.

One of my favorite ways to make sure my students have the resources needed during math is to use dry erase materials. The Base Ten Place Value Mats are large enough to use base ten manipulatives or simply have students draw using dry erase markers. The Dry Erase Math Skills Boards are great for math talk, whole group work, small groups, or independent work. My students pulled out these boards constantly last year and they held up all year.

My absolute favorite item for back to school time are the ready-to-go file folder games. The games come with the pieces punched out and ready to be sorted into the correct envelope. Each game is color coded along with a number label. The directions on the file folder cover are in kid-friendly terms and will allow students to use the centers throughout the year independently.
