Get rid of those first day jitters with a fun back-to-school breakfast party for your family! Create a breakfast party tablescape with cute bright and fun apple decor. Add in yummy pancake skewers with homemade caramel syrup as a delicious treat. Top off this back-to-school party with a sweet gif toot! This party will help kick off the school year and get your kids off to a positive and happy start.
Every year we have a special back-to-school breakfast or dinner party in our home. Our family loves to share new goals for the school year. The kids talk about what excites them and scares them in the coming new school year. I've found that this gathering is the perfect way to help my kids get ready and excited for a new school year. This year, we created a "Back-to-School" Breakfast Party with fun decor, a DIY banner, fun back gifts and a yummy breakfast. Families will love this time together before the first day of school.
Back-to-School Breakfast Decor Create your own back-to-school party with an adorable red gingham and apple theme! Add in some chalkboards and bright colors to complete the look. I loved using Red Hanging Paper Lanterns and Green Hanging Paper Lanterns to create big apples for a centerpiece and decor on the party buffet. A Large Chalkboard is a great way to add in a fun quote or theme for the new school year. We chose "SCHOOL IS COOL" for our theme this year. It's an easy way to add some word art into the party decor. Just use a White Chalk Marker on the large chalkboard. I chose to center the chalkbaord on the party buffet.
Back-to-School Party Table and Place Settings I loved adding pops of red gingham to this back to school party with a Red Gingham Tablecloth, Red Gingham Napkins, and Red Gingham Cups. Create fun apple-themed place settings with a Bright Foam Sheet for a placemat. Add some Ruler Tape to the bottom of the mat for some added flair. Create apple plates by adding green foam leaves to the top of Red Paper Plates. Use Mini Chalkboards to create a place card with your child's name.
Back-to-School Banner Create a happy and bright apple "back-to-school" banner with Apple Cutouts. This banner is simple to make and adds pops of red and black to your decor. Use Natural Jute Cording and Clothespins to display the banner above your party table or buffet. This banner makes a great backdrop for back-to-school photos too!
Pancake Skewers with Caramel Syrup At our special breakfast we got creative and used Black Striped Straws and Red Polka Dot Straws to create mini pancake skewers with strawberries and bananas. This easy breakfast idea is always a hit at our house. Dip the mini pancakes in homemade caramel syrup for an extra sweet taste. Display the cute pancake skewers on a pretty white cake stand like this one.
Back-to-School Gift Ideas I like to give my kids a little something for the new school year and they love to get new school supplies. Add Bright Rulers,Paint Chip Pencils, Paint Chip Erasers to Mason Jars for a fun gift idea. Add some Ruler Tape around the jar and a cute good luck tag on top! I also decided to make each child a monogram clipboard. Just add one of the Black Self-Adhesive Letters to each Rainbow Clipboard. Add a fun Paint Chip Motivational Journal and Pretty Book Mark to your child's new clipboard as well. I hope this party gives you inspiration to help send your kids off to school in a memorable way this year!
