A Baby is Brewing Shower

A Baby is Brewing Shower

Who says guys can't LOVE baby showers too? Craft beer is all the rage, and guys and girls alike love exploring the hundreds (or maybe thousands!) of different types out there. For a couple's shower that everyone will love, throw this "A Baby is Brewing" party full of salty snacks and cold beer (mama-to-be can enjoy apple juice or alcohol-free beer in it's place!).

A Baby is Brewing

A precious new babe should be celebrated by both parents and ALL their friends. The craft beer market is growing every day and there are so many fun flavors to try. Even if you don't think you are a beer lover, you might be surprised by flavor profiles that include notes of chocolate, mocha, vanilla, orange, lemon or lime. There are even blueberry craft beers!

Throwing this fun and unexpected "A Baby is Brewing" baby shower ensures that all party guests will be excited to attend and celebrate this new little life! (Mom-to-be's favorite non-alcoholic beverages should obviously be ready for her to enjoy!)

The Decorations

The color scheme for this beer-themed baby shower centered around yellow, copper, and metallic gold decorations.

A Baby Is Brewing Party Backdrop

I filled the wall with yellow and copper tissue paper fans. On top of the fans, I taped a Cheers garland (I removed the pink champagne flutes from the garland) and a beer garland to give the wall some extra dimension. The baby shower theme, "A Baby is Brewing" was displayed on a 12x12 letter board.

On the party table I used a rose gold glitter table runner (it complimented the copper decor nicely!), copper tassel garland, glitter beer garland, and draped a sheer copper fabric over the table to soften the look of the decorations. I love to make sure my parties are decorated from top to bottom, so yellow and gold paper lanterns filled the space underneath the party table.

The Food & Drink

The best thing to pair with cold craft beers are salty snacks. I mixed up a salty snack mix of popcorn, mini pretzels and peanuts and served them in yellow popcorn boxes.

Beer Party Salty Snack MixBeer Themed Baby Shower Candy and Napkins

I found the cutest Craft Beer Barrel candies for this party and displayed them in a clear candy bucket. I personalized "Cheers" yellow beverage napkins with the phrase: A Baby is Brewing. Personalizing party elements like these napkins is an easy way to instantly make any party feel a bit more special.

Beer Themed Party

Beer was filled in glass beer growlers (any local brewery can fill up beer growlers for you) and served in beer can glasses. Make sure there is plenty of apple juice (looks the same!) or alcohol-free beer for mom-to-be to enjoy in her glass!

TIP: Visit a few local breweries to get a variety of flavors for guests to try. If you don't have a brewery nearby, grab a handful of unique beers from the grocery.

Beer Party Coasters

I loved the design on these beer themed coasters that double as drink markers. Simply put a pen out for guests to write their name in the white space of their coaster so drinks don't get mixed up throughout the party.

The Favors

The perfect favors for a beer themed baby shower are Cheers beer bottle openers. Decorate the party table with them and be sure guests bring them home when they leave.

Gift for Dad-to-Be

I knew I had to incorporate this wooden beer caddy into our party when I saw it! I love that it can be personalized with any name or phrase.

Beer Caddy

It has a bottle opener on the side and a handle for easy carrying. I personalized this one to say "Daddy's Beers" as a gift for the new dad to help him through those crazy first few months.
