We really wanted our bride to remember her final fiesta, so we created an eye-catching backdrop, bedecked in beautiful tissue paper blooms. The Mexican Tissue Paper Flower Backdrop was placed in the corner of the room and grabbed guests' attention the moment they waled into the room.
To make our bride feel even more special, we gave her chair a little pizazz!
We started by tying strands of hot pink, sapphire blue, yellow, turquoise and apple green streamers to the back of the chair. We then created a "novia" (bride in Spanish) sign that hung in front of the streamers.
The sign was crafted from a DIY unfinished wood slat that was painted white. We then added the word "novia", which was cut from hot pink adhesive vinyl, and attached flowers that were made from hot pink, turquoise and yellow streamers using hot glue. The sign was tied to the chair using green ribbon.
The Tablescape
A square navy blue and white tablecloth, laid on the diagonal, was the perfect anchor for all the color in the room.
A row of 4" teal cylinder vases and 3" hot pink cylinder vases lined the center of the table and held an array of succulents and cacti.
Mini gold donkey pinatas looked festive standing tall between the vases and added character to the table.
Mexican floral wedding pennant banners hung in front of our windows to add a bit of movement and texture.
Keeping the table decor to a minimum ensured everyone a view of our show-stopping stunner of a Mexican Tissue Paper Flower Backdrop.
Just Add Babes
The bright and beautiful Mexican Tissue Paper Flower Backdrop was created using various shades of pink, yellow, blue and green tissue paper and assorted tissue paper fans. Guests had a blast posing for photos in front of the backdrop throughout the night.
The Bebidas Drink Sign was the perfect addition to the decor. Be sure to check out the DIY for the Mexican Tissue Paper Flower Backdrop here.
An unfinished wood chevron tray was painted white and sat atop a small table in front of our backdrop. A Blue Textured Glass Vase, filled with vibrant hot pink dahlias, sat upon the tray next to a mini gold donkey piñata and a hot pink cylinder vase filled with Wedding Maracas.
The Place Settings
Our place settings were kept sweet and simple but popped off the table thanks to the hot pink plastic dessert plates.
White Elegance Premium Plastic Dinner Plates anchored the hot pink dessert plates and sat atop Gold Laser Cut Chargers. The Teal Patterned Plastic Champagne Flutes were a beautiful contrast to the navy blue tablecloth.
Mexican Floral Wedding Dinner Napkins sat to the left of each place setting and held Goldtone Hammered Cutlery.
In the center of each place setting was a Wedding Maraca that received a festive "She Said Si" tag, which was tied on with a bit of Gold Baker's Twine. Adding each guest's name instantly transformed the little take home gifts into place cards. Be sure to download the free printable tags here.
Sips & Such
We set up a table next to our Mexican Tissue Paper Flower Backdrop that held nibbles for guests to help themselves throughout the night.
Our DIY Tequila Shot Wall sat against the wall in the middle of the table and displayed our 3 Tequila Shots to Get Your Fiesta Started as if they were artwork! Guests were smitten with the adorable Mini Margarita Plastic Shot Glasses.
A delectably sweet tres leches carrot cake was placed on a white cake stand in the center of the table, with our salty treats sitting on either side. Additional teal cylinder vases filled with succulents and mini gold donkey pinatas accompanied our sweet and salty treats.
Small Serving Trays held Mini White Paper Treat Bags, which were filled with tortilla chips. The bags were dressed up with pink, green, yellow and blue tissue paper fringe. Be sure to line the bags with white beverage napkins to make them food safe! Various salsas looked festive served in Clear Plastic Margarita Glasses.
