Forest Mushrooms Snack

Start your wild adventure by having the kids forage through the snack area for forest mushrooms. Prepare the mushrooms by cutting varying lengths of a stick of string cheese.  Cut a cherry tomato in half and scoop out the seeds using a small spoon.  Fill the cherry tomato with creamed cheese and place on top of the cut string cheese lengths.  To make the spots on the mushroom, place room temperature creamed cheese in a piping bag and pipe small dots onto the tomatoes. These simple yet "wild" snacks are great for VBS snacks or classroom snacks.  Label the wild snacks with our free printable!

Ants are both nutritious and delicious, but don't worry these "ants" are just raisins. Fill lengths of celery with creamed cheese or peanut butter and place raisins on top to serve as the ants.  Not a fan of raisins?  You can substitute them for fresh blueberries or even dried cranberries. Your little adventurers will be fueled and ready to learn after this healthy snack. Don't forget to print off the free snack label to stick with your wild theme.
