Valentine Cake in a Jar

Layers of fluffy cake and creamy icing come together for a decadent slice of heaven that's almost too pretty to eat. Cassie from Hi Sugarplum squeezed three small frosted cupcakes into each glass jar, added a sticker to the lid, and tied a ribbon around it with a colorful utensil. Gifting one spoon means your recipient can have the whole dessert to herself (she'll thank you later!).

How did Shauna from Ellie and Annie make this reversed-out polka-dot pattern on Mason jars? It's just contact paper cutouts and spray-paint! She used a hole punch for the dots then pressed them onto the outer edge of the jar before spray-painting the whole thing hot pink. Let glasses dry overnight, then peel away the contact paper dots. Fill the jar with heart-shaped sweets (or your favorite candy!), attach a ribbon and a note, and spread the love.

These pizza cookies from Bake at 350 are Insta-worthy for those craving the photo opp and satisfyingly sweet for the rest of us. Roll out a red plaid tablecloth to set the scene for a Valentine's Day pizza party, or "dish up" these pizza cookies by the slice on cute gingham napkins before delivering to your Valentines. Bonus points for using letter cookie cutters to sneak in a cute, on-point pun like Bridget did: take a pizza my heart.

Sara from Tell Love and Party scored these petite heart boxes from the dollar store (these heart tins work well, too!), and they're perfect candidates for a glitter makeover. Just apply Mod Podge to half of the front of the heart box, then dust with loose glitter. Once dry, fill each box up with candy to gift. We love how Sara coordinated the heart candy and box colors - it's all in the details!

As if mini popcorn boxes could get any cuter, The Crafting Chicks took them one step further and dolled them up with adhesive hearts, hot pink baker's twine, and printable tags for Valentine's Day. After you've bedazzled each box, fill with popped kernels or gift guests with a package of microwave popcorn that they can pop and enjoy the next time movie night rolls around.

Valentine's White Chocolate and Peppermint Bark

Valentine's Day and chocolate are a match made in holiday heaven, which is why we recommend you trade a heart-shaped box of purchased confections for a helping of DIY candy bark like this white chocolate and peppermint recipe by Sara from Confetti Sunshine. Silky-smooth chocolate and satisfying, totally customizable toppings (rock candy, anyone?) is a feast for the tastebuds and the eyes! Once your creation cools, package it in mini cellophane bags and add a pretty color-it-yourself floral tag for extra flair.

The Crafting Chicks blogger Nikkala's gooey homemade brownies are the star of this show-stopping gift. Whip up a batch from scratch (or cheat with a box mix--no judgment here!) and use a cookie cutter to make little brownie hearts. Melt white chocolate and drizzle over brownie cutouts, then insert paper straws to turn your creations into pops. Wrap each "pop" in a cellophane bag and tie off with ribbon. So sweet!

Jennifer from See and Savour seasoned assorted nuts with sweet and spicy flavors and fresh herbs before dividing into small packages, securing with mini clothespins, and adding ribbon. This pretty packaging idea lends itself well to any favorite snack or trail mix recipe -- just personalize as you see fit!

Grab the recipe from her blog (it's ready in about 10 minutes), then fill mini red takeout boxes with the cooled mix. Red and pink chocolate candies up the fun factor.

Simultaneously warm hearts and hands with this DIY mug and hot chocolate gift idea by Linda from It All Started With Paint. To begin, put a heart sticker to a ceramic mug and add colorful dots around it with Sharpie paint pens. Remove the sticker and bake the mug in the oven to set the paint. Meanwhile, fill a small cellophane bag with hot cocoa mix and mini marshmallows, tie it up with a pink ribbon, and place it in the mug for a winter-perfect keepsake.
