Children peel the backing off pumpkin shapes and place them on a piece of green cardstock paper, filling it to look like a pumpkin patch field. Then using a green marker, kids draw swirly pumpkin vines coming out of each pumpkin to finish creating the pumpkin patch.

Painting pumpkins for Halloween is a great alternative to carving pumpkins for preschoolers. Here's a fun way to turn a painted pumpkin into a cute shark to display on your porch for Halloween. The best part, these pumpkins are easily created with these shark pumpkin decorating kits. Simply use a sponge paintbrush to paint a pumpkin with blue, green, pink or purple acrylic paint and let it dry completely. Then assemble the pieces of the shark decorating kit together. Attach the eyes and mouth on the front of your painted pumpkin, and insert each fin into the pumpkin. An easy and fun no-carve pumpkin craft kids will love!

Jumbo foam pumpkins and adhesive foam sheets makes this a mess free and super easy pumpkin activity for toddlers. Children use scissors to cut out eyes, a nose and a mouth for their pumpkin from Halloween self-adhesive glitter foam sheets. The sheets come in orange, purple and black so children are able to get creative with the colors of their choice. Peel the backing off the eyes, nose and mouth and attach them to the jumbo foam pumpkin to create a jack-o-lantern. You can even string several together with baker's twine to create a fun Halloween banner to hang up on a mantel at home.

You can pretty much make anything with wooden craft sticks, including a cute Halloween pumpkin character. To make the rectangle shape, line six large craft sticks together and then hot glue another large stick onto them diagonally to attach them together. Paint the front of the sticks with orange paint and after it has finished drying, use a black paint marker to draw a face on your pumpkin. You can use more craft sticks and paint to create additional Halloween characters like a ghost, Frankenstein and a monster too.

This cute handprint salt dough pumpkin is an adorable keepsake to make with your little pumpkins for the fall season. Follow the recipe to make a batch of salt dough. After rolling out the dough, cut out a large pumpkin shape. Children press their hand in the center of the pumpkin firmly to make an imprint. After the pumpkin has dried for up to 72 hours, children paint the pumpkin with orange and brown paint. Add some cute Halloween decor to your windows this fall by making a colorful Pumpkin Suncatcher. Adults can help set up this craft by cutting out the free pumpkin template on white cardstock paper and placing it on a piece of contact paper. Children fill the pumpkin with orange tissue paper squares and the pumpkin eyes, nose and mouth. A second piece of contact paper is placed over the pumpkin to seal the pieces together.
