Each year that is completed in school should be celebrated; it’s a testament to your child’s hard work and dedication. However, we tend to only celebrate certain milestones in school. Many kids will be finishing up their 6th grade year and transitioning into middle school if they haven’t already. This is a time to celebrate! Below are a few ideas you can incorporate into your 6th Grade Graduation Celebration.
Public Service Announcement: If you have a current 6th Grader, they will be a proud member of the Class of 2023. Yes, you heard me! Let me say it again, the Class of 2023. This was a tough one for me to hear, since I graduated in the Class of 1999 (and we sure partied like it was 1999, ha!). Each year that is completed in school should be celebrated; it's a testament to your child's hard work and dedication. However, we tend to only celebrate certain milestones in school. Many kids will be finishing up their 6th grade year and transitioning into middle school if they haven't already. This is a time to celebrate! Below are a few ideas you can incorporate into your 6th Grade Graduation Celebration. Class of 2023 Banner
Incorporating this personalized banner into your graduation party is really easy. Select a color that fits your party decor. Paint the DIY Square Banner with craft paint and allow it to dry. Once your DIY Square Banner has been painted, you can either use a stencil or add vinyl numbers to spell out whatever you want. I opted to add vinyl numbers so that I can easily reuse this banner in the future, since I will have 3 more graduates. To hang your banner, add Baker's Twine and hang.
Graduation Canvas
I'm a huge fan of inspirational quotes. Simply paint a DIY Canvas using gouache. Once your canvas has dried, stencil on your favorite quote or add vinyl lettering. Display your masterpiece on a Tabletop Easel. Below you will see two different versions. You can make several of these and display them all.
Confetti Balloon Centerpiece
I am in love with confetti filled balloons. Making confetti balloon centerpieces has been at the top of my wish list. I think I still need a little practice because I couldn't figure out how to get the confetti to stick to the sides. At any rate, these confetti balloons still looked amazing. No helium is requires either!
Confetti Poppers
Sticking with the confetti theme, I thought adding confetti poppers to the list of decor would be awesome. Add in your choice of filler. I went with a variety of confetti sizes and shapes. These would even make a fun to-go favor. You could easily personalize these poppers even further by adding a sticker or label to the outside.
Graduation Cap Favor Boxes
A party isn't complete without a favor. These little Mortar Favor Boxes are the perfect little take-home gift. You can fill them with favors like the Mini Hexagon Teal Bubble Bottles and the Black "Congrats Grad!" Camouflage Bracelets. You could also fill them with tasty candies like the Sparkling Powder Blue Chocolate Candy.
Hopefully you have a few ideas to implement into your 6th Grade Graduation festivities. You don't have to do anything elaborate or overwhelming. You can keep it pretty simple. The kids will love that you put in the effort to throw them a celebration! Life really is about celebrating all of our accomplishments so go and celebrate your children!
