Stations are a key part of our daily routine. Not only do they allow me time to pull small groups and work with students, but they foster learning independence in my third graders. I love any kind of station activity that my students can understand quickly and get started right away by themselves or with a partner. These are some of my favorite station activities to use all year long!
These homophone dry erase cards are perfect for students to practice this grammar skills. I have my students write their answers on the cards, check themselves on the back of the card, and then illustrate or define each homophone in their word work tab of their notebooks! Notebooks can be found here.

Time can be a really hard skill for students to grasp. I love these time self-checking magnetic cards. They allow students to use the time on the clocks to show the digital time or vice versa. There are so many different cards to use as well! Students work together to check each other or use the self-checking feature on the back!

Oh my, what can you not use these for?! These are a class favorite for ANY activity! I use many math games in stations that require dice. Give students some jumbo inflatable dice..instant engagement! Here, I had my students roll the dice to create two 3-digit numbers to compare. This is a great, low prep, independent station!

I love this activity set! Students work by themselves or with a partner to roll a 9-sided dice for each place. They then use the pieces to fill up the activity mat. I have my students record the standard, expanded, and word form of the number in their math notebooks.

These caption cards might be my new favorite thing! They can be used as a writing station in so many ways! Students could create a detailed, attention getting caption for the photo, answer the questions on the back, or even use the photo as a prompt for a quick write. I like to have my students write about what is happening in the photo from the subject's point of view.
