A bag of yarn pom-poms offers so much possibility in the world of Christmas crafts and makes adorable Pom-Pom Christmas Ornaments. Think garlands, stocking trim, advent calendar embellishments, and of course, ornaments. This beautiful variety of colorful yarn pom-poms delivers bright and happy possibilities, from little birds to mini Christmas trees. Grab your glue, sequins, felt, and chenille stems and turn your kitchen table into Santa's workshop!

Paper punches make this project so quick, you can make enough to cover your whole tree! Cut a star out of cardstock (if you have a paper punch, use it!) and use a 1-inch paper punch to make a hole in the center. Glue one of the smaller sized yarn pom-poms into the hole. Use a regular hole punch on one of the points of the star and thread a string through to make your ornament!

Tall hats and long beards ... that's what gnomes are made of! To make these little elf-like creatures, roll a piece of felt into a cone-shape that's about 2-inches tall. Glue the cone onto the pom-pom, and glue a small pink pom-pom on the edge as a nose. Cut two 1/2-inch pieces of brown chenille stem and bend them at a 90 degree angle. Glue into the bottom of the white yarn pom-pom as the feet. These little gnomes would look so whimsical hanging on a Christmas tree!

These little songbirds will look precious on your tree or mantel! Glue a small pom-pom on top of a large pom-pom. Cut large and small teardrop shapes from felt and glue to the sides of the larger pom-pom to make the wings. Create a fold in your orange felt, and on the fold, cut a triangle to make the beak. Glue the beak onto the smaller pom-pom. Cut short lengths of black chenille stem and bend them in half. Glue them above the beak as eyes. Cut a length of string, tie it in a knot, and glue to the top of the birdy's head.

Even the littles ones can help make these beaded ornaments! Using wire cutters, cut a piece of coil memory wire in half, making sure that two ends overlap. Push a small pom-pom over the end of a wire right through the center. Slip small wooden beads over either end of the wire, and thread wire ends through the beads to close. Tie a short loop of string over the wreath to hang it on your tree!
