The charm that this Patriotic Porch exudes will warm the hearts of all that pass by! Captivating red, white and blue bunting create an inviting welcome that lures you onto the porch, where more intimate details like DIY Distressed American Flag Planters and comfy patriotic pillows create an ambience that entice you to stay. Whether you're decorating for Memorial Day or the 4th of July, these porch decorating ideas set the stage for cozy moments and unforgettable memories.
Cloth USA Bunting draped along the porch rail sets the stage for this 4th of July Patriotic Porch and extends a heartwarming welcome to all who see it. A Large Cloth United States Flag blowing in the breeze is a beautiful reminder of what is being celebrated. Potted ferns give the porch a cozy feel and add intimacy to the space.
As guests approach the porch, a well-dressed front door greets them. We went a nontraditional route and created this pretty, patriotic front door decor instead of using a traditional wreath. To make it, we used some fishing line to secure a Small Silver Dollar Eucalyptus Wreath to a White Window Frame Decoration, then added two Small Cloth American Flags on Wooden Sticks and a simple bow made with Red & White Striped Satin Ribbon.
To the right side of the front door, Fourth of July Tabletop Blocks and assorted plants in Galvanized Metal Pails added color and coziness to the porch.
We fell in love with this Patriotic String Art Craft when we saw it and thought it would be a perfect addition to our patriotic porch decor. We simply leaned it against a metal bucket to add a splash of color and help tie the display together.
To the left of the front door we arranged plants in Large Galvanized Pails. We used a large DIY Distressed American Flag Planter as a riser to add some height and festive flair to the display. The lid of the planter is able to be removed, so if you'd prefer for the plant pails to sit inside of the box, you have that option!
The American Flag Distressed Planters are made from DIY Unfinished Wood Crates with Lids that come in a set of two, so we made two planters and displayed the smaller one by the sofa on our porch. We topped this one with a Galvanized Metal Tray with Handles filled with baby begonias in Galvanized Metal Pails. A red and white striped tea towel softened the look of the metals and added a homey touch.
USA Flag Outdoor Pillows arranged on the sofa allow guests to cozy up and get comfortable. Felt Star Garland strung between columns helps tie the decor together and adds a festive vibe to the porch.
Again straying from the traditional, we tucked a small potted plant inside of a metal lantern, as opposed to using a candle. It was a nice, unexpected change and it helped balance the greenery across the width of the porch.
I hope you've enjoyed these ideas for a 4th of July Patriotic Front Porch, and I hope you've been inspired to create something similar at your own home. Happy 4th of July!
