If you haven't crafted with flower pots before, you are missing out! This is the perfect winter craft to get ready for Spring. We used these ceramic flower pots and paint to create 4 different ways to create a beautiful pot for spring flowers and plants. From color blocking, to stenciling, mod black and white patterns with color, marbling technique and a faux cement look are all included in this post. Which one will be your favorite?

We love mixing bright pops and color with simple black and white patterns. This creates a mod look to basic painting techniques. Start by simply taping off the section of the flower pot you want to paint. Next, apply a few coats of paint. Peel away tape. Add simple patterns using a thing paint brush or a black paint pen. Polka dots, plus sign and brush strokes look so good against the bright paint colors.

We love to marble just about anything! You can use paint, but we find using nail polish is so simple! Fill a plastic disposable container with warm water. Gently pour some nail polish on top of the water. Use a stir stick to give the nail polish a marble effect. Dip the pot into the water and roll over the top of the water. We recommend using rubber gloves! The nail polish will adhere to the pot. Allow to dry on a piece of cardboard and see what a beautiful creation you made.

Another fun mod design for this ceramic pot. We love pairing colors to create a clean line and color blocking. Simply tape off a section of pot and paint in first color. Peel the tape after the second coat. Allow the paint to dry. Tape off a new section and paint. Peel the tape after the second coat. You can add a third color as well!

Learn how to turn the white ceramic flower pot into a darling modern farmhouse looking pot! All you need is some paint, sponge brush and a paper towel. You can mix your gray paints with black for a darker looking cement. I went with adding some white for a lighter shade of cement. Begin by applying light brush strokes of black paint onto pot. Allow to dry for about 10 minutes. Next, apply some gray paint onto pot. Depending on how dark you want your faux cement to look, add some white paint mixed with some gray onto a paper towel and dab onto the pot. If you want a darker looking faux cement, skip the white paint and mix some black paint into the gray. Allow to dry. Set your pot out by a favorite window and enjoy!
