It's no secret that we love crafting with our kids. Since fall is here, our favorite activity is to sit inside the house and create fun fall-themed projects. We've put together four craft roll ideas for fall that you and your children will love.
Apples are a staple of fall harvests, so why not create a craft around them? For this craft you'll need White Craft Rolls, Sharpie Markers, Cupcake Liners, glue, Chenille Stems, and Foam Leaves. Draw some seeds on the White Craft Rolls with a Brown Sharpie Marker. You could also use Crayola Washable Markers. Run glue around the top of the craft roll and place a cupcake liner on top. Repeat for the bottom of the craft roll. Once the glue is dry, cut a brown chenille stem about 4 inches long. Fold the chenille stem in half and twist and bend into a stem shape. Stick right into the top of the cupcake liner. Add the foam leave shape to finish.
We love watching the leaves change colors on the trees. What better way to celebrate fall than by making your own Fall Tree Craft Roll? You'll need Craft Rolls, Sharpie Markers, glue, Foam Leaves and Construction Paper. Using sharper scissors, cut the craft rolls in half. (This is best for an adult to do beforehand.) Glue the craft rolls onto a sheet of construction paper and let dry. Place the foam leaves around the craft rolls to make a fall tree.
Making some woodland critters can be a fun way for kids to experience other aspects of fall. We are in love with this owl craft roll and think your kids will love it too! For this craft you'll need Craft Rolls, the Free Printable Owl Template, Glue Stick, and Crayons. Print and cut out the Free Printable Owl Template. Color with crayons, or whatever you have on hand. Use a glue stick to glue the paper owl to the craft roll.
To round out our fall characters, we created this fun scarecrow craft. For this craft you'll need White Craft Rolls, Sharpie Markers, Glue Stick, the Free Printable Scarecrow Pattern, Raffia and Construction Paper. Print and cut out the Free Printable Scarecrow Pattern. Trace the pattern onto construction paper and cut out. Use a glue stick to glue the construction paper pieces to the craft roll. Roll up the hat template and glue to the circle hat bottom. Use Sharpie Markers to draw a face on your scarecrow. Glue raffia onto the bottom of the Scarecrow's hat, or inside the craft roll. Glue the hat onto the craft roll and your scarecrow is complete.
