Easter Egg Decals are an easy way to apply a word or image to your eggs. The application process is straightforward; simply peel off the protective plastic layer and rub on the egg. It only takes a few minutes! I love this new decal set that includes everything from words, spring flowers, rabbits and chicks!

There are so many ways to marble Easter eggs. I rolled my eggs in a simple mix of black and white paint. You can also use black nail polish. Simply add a few drops of the nail polish to a bowl full of water, blend with a toothpick and quickly submerge the egg.

This no-dye, no-glue, no-mess Easter egg craft might just be the easiest way to add a modern look to plain white eggs. Just use black cording to wrap the middle of eggs. You could also wrap the entire egg from bottom to top!

Dyed Eggs

This idea is a fun twist on the Japanese shibori dye technique of resist dying. Wrap the eggs with rubber bands or bracelets then dip them in the dye; with faux eggs the dye is instant. I used the eggs that came in this egg carton. Faux eggs are super light, and they float, so if you want them to be covered in dye, you'll have to spoon the dye around and on top of the egg (or hold it down) rather than simply dropping it into the dye like you would with a normal egg. You also can't use water with faux eggs. Only use vinegar with the dye. Mix one teaspoon of vinegar and 20 drops of food coloring (increase the mix to get a deeper color).

Honestly, you don't need to be an artist to achieve this look! Use Sharpie Markers to create a repeating pattern of dashes, hearts, chevron stripes or swirls. Start from the top of the egg and work your way down. Find inspiration in everything from Mexican textiles and contemporary art to ancient Greek vases. To create a contrasting effect, paint eggs with black paint and use a white paint pen to embellish.

Is there anything washi tape can't do? Simply wrap Black & White Patterned Washi Tape around the middle of eggs or use thinner strips of tape to decorate the eggs from top to bottom. Try mixing and matching designs and placement so that each egg is unique.

Sometimes all you need is black and white to make a modern statement. Use black acrylic paint, some paintbrushes and faux white eggs to create this hand-splattered egg. I used one of the flat-edge brushes in the pack to flick paint all over the egg.
