Balloon garlands continue to dominate wedding dessert table décor. A gorgeous balloon garland is both a whimsical way to dress up the dessert table and an easy, affordable décor option. The key to creating a gorgeous balloon garland installation is using an array of different sizes to add dimension. Balloon garland kits are now available with all the sizes you need to make a stunning garland. Take your garland to the next level by filling balloons with confetti or by mixing balloons with eucalyptus, flowers, or foliage. With statement balloons doing the decor heavy work, you can scale back on further florals without sacrificing wow factor.

Balloon Ceremony Altar

Create a modern, dramatic statement with a geometric ceremony arch and a combination of chrome, marble and over sized balloons to add texture & color. Once inflated, knot each balloon directly to the neck of another balloon. Next, take a pair of tied balloons and twist them around the altar. Then take another next pair and twist in the opposite direction so that the pairs are directly opposing each other. Now push the 2 pairs together so that the balloon knots touch in the middle. The twist anchors the balloons together. Repeat, to create the grouping size required. There are 4 groupings on this altar. Use smaller or over sized balloons to fill in any gaps using small dabs of low-temp hot glue.

Balloon Statement Wall

I love the statement balloon wall trend for weddings. Talk about the ultimate jaw-dropping backdrop. It's an amazing way to glam up a wedding reception or bridal shower and brings color to any space. Go big or go home with this trend. It is cost effective and you can increase or decrease its size to match the space available. For a single palette, mix up the balloon sizes or create an asymmetrical design. Alternatively, wow your wedding guests with ombré-like colors that transition through the color spectrum. You can't go wrong by adding romantic florals!

Try the same technique on regular sized balloons and turn your balloons into save the dates, Mr. and Mrs. balloons, or even a wedding menu.

Balloon décor for a smaller wedding or shower can be just as beautiful without the scale. Create a stunning statement piece with a love script balloon and a beautiful hoop wreath. Both wreaths and balloons are a hot trend in weddings right now. The combination is stunning and inexpensive for the impact they will have on your event. Create added visual texture with glitter balloons or greenery and flowers. I especially love the hula hoop wreaths for weddings because, just like wedding rings, they are circular, which represents your love – like the circle, it has no end.

Over sized round balloons & confetti filled balloons are gorgeous for ceremonies, bringing a pop of color and a touch of whimsy to the wedding aisle. Just imagine walking down an aisle lined with these giant rose pink and smaller pink confetti filled balloons. First fill the Pearl Pink 30" Latex Balloonswith helium. Then attach a Pink Azalea Floral Garland to the balloon tie using fishing line. Then, fill the Pink Confetti 16" Latex Balloons with helium and attach a length of pink ribbon to the balloon tie. Have these sit lower to the ground, alternating with the larger balloons and lining the aisle with dozens of balloons and lush florals & greenery.

Instead of floral chandeliers use the lofty ceilings in your reception space to your advantage by filling it up with balloon chandeliers. Create one large chandelier or a smaller one over each table. Cluster confetti balloons with rose gold, blush and white balloons of different sizes. Use a needle with fishing wire to join the balloon ties together. Then twist and loop balloons over each other into a tighter grouping until they are bunched closely together. Once you have created the shape of the chandelier add eucalyptus to the balloons for lush texture. Use smaller sized balloons to fill in any gaps using small dabs of low-temp hot glue. Finally, use fishing wire to hang the completed chandelier from the ceiling.

Forget elaborate floral centerpieces – use balloons instead. Give your tables height by adding oversized balloons to the center of or down the middle of the table. Inflate large 36" balloons with helium and then create whimsical balloon tails. Use fishing line to attach a flower garland and then add in tissue tassels to give the tail volume. The weight of the tail is sufficient to keep the centerpiece in place.

In addition to tails, you can use your balloons as table numbers by tying numbers to the string of the balloons or numbering the balloons themselves.
